For the folks discussing the purity and efficacy of vitamins, meaningful differences in can primarily be seen in pharmaceutical grade vs. food grade.....and food grade is what the vast majority of us consume. Interesting about Creatine too...I've been dismissing it for years and didn't know people still took them.…

A lot of people respond differently to carb consumption. As long as you don't fall under the category of people who are sensitive to carbs, then you are absolutely right. Hope your weight loss goes well!

Different things work for different people, but my stance on this is that Grandma knows best. Unplanned meals and snacks are a good way to derail a carefully laid dietary plan. One of the strongest tools for keeping your diet in line with your goals is to plan out your meals well in advance.

No, actually I don't believe you hear me at all... You obviously have difficulty comprehending what I'm saying. I like vegans very much and there are many things I admire about them... I think they are wonderful people and I've befriended many here on MFP. It's not the view or message I have a problem with. It's more the…

the China study has been discredited for some time now... http://rawfoodsos.com/2010/07/07/the-china-study-fact-or-fallac/ http://freetheanimal.com/2010/07/t-colin-campbells-the-china-study-finally-exhaustively-discredited.html http://robbwolf.com/2010/07/08/the-china-study-junk-science-and-lies/

Me too. Love the taste. It's especially good when blended with ice and frozen blueberries...

I love vegans, but not when they try to shove their anti-meat agenda at me.... Just sayin.

Great.. we're jerks for helping, and we are also jerks if we just sit and do nothing... I guess we are just jerks. Wait...wut?

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19927027 There are other studies too which show levels above 35% help spare muscle loss when dieting....but I don't have them with me here at work. With that said, the 1 gram per lb guide can get really skewed for certain people.... it would apply better toward folks who were already…

Holy smokes cobaltis.. thanks for posting that! Eason has an amazing physique. The photo looks a tad altered in her waist area, but nevertheless, a very fine specimen. :smokin: :smokin:

After taking a look at your diary, I would try increasing your protein levels.
-
Since you're giving us free rein to say exactly how we feel without any consequences, I really do like thin girls, but as cobaltis said, its important they exercise and have some muscle definition.

When you purchased it, did you find that the numbers it came up with were different than the formula used here on MFP?

UpEarly, I think you have a very healthy approach to eating. A lot of what you posted is similar to the point I was trying to make.
-
Well, that would be the wrong way to implement a cheat day for sure. But like I said above, when you have a planned cheat day, your long-term weight loss is more successful than when you 'cave-in' and start cheating on your meals.

I'm really glad you brought this up. I'm a believer that for the majority of people out there, simply trying to eat things in moderation while making whole, clean foods the foundation of your diet will work work. But I also know that telling a person who has a food addiction to simply "eat less" is akin to telling an…

Stroutman81 knows his stuff. Didn't go through the entire thread, but the information on the first two pages was very informative. Just three pounds left for me....but perhaps the "form follows function" mantra he mentioned might not be a bad idea....

Guy doing dumbbell curls next to me started talking dirty to his biceps. I seriously couldn't go on without rolling in laughter, so I quickly dropped my weights and walked away. Guess that isn't the worst thing, but I couldn't concentrate after that....

You should never eat after 7 PM or else your body will turn that food into fat. Just kidding... I'm always nibbling on stuff late at night. Last night I had an assortment of sweets right before going to sleep. So basically, there is no 'latest' for me.

to improve your life in countless ways.

I'm interested in BCAA's too.. I might give them a shot sometime in the future. But in the meantime, it would be good to see something that showed their effectiveness. BTW, Martin Berkhan, the leangains founder, encourages the use of BCAA's only when you train fasted or semi-fasted. And if you don't have BCAA's, he says 30…

The very first study I looked up in this list came to the conclusion that BCAA supplementation in large doses does not stimulate protein synthesis. http://jn.nutrition.org/content/135/6/1580S.long Were any of the studies above conducted with a control group that was eating enough protein? As far as I know, efficacy of…

I didn't read every post in this thread so I apologize if this was already mentioned, but I think this phrase really grew some steam over the years in response to the fear that is ingrained in SOME women toward lifting weights. Some women fear that it might make them look unattractive, so some people respond with, "Women…

I guess I shouldn't feed my mice any treats after 7 PM......

Most veggies like broccoli and romaine lettuce will have a good amount of potassium. Lima beans, lean cuts of red meat, milk, .... all I can think of right now.

When are they going to bring back the McRib!?!
