The MFP recommended daily water intake is 8 cups, so if you drink more than that, your cup runneth over. Unless you are really over doing it, don't sweat it. On days I workout, it's not uncommon for me to drink well over my "recommended" 8 cups :)

This. The companies are allowed a variance, as frustrating as it is. Measure and weigh everything yourself to be sure you are eating the number of servings you think you are eating :)

Slow, steady and consistent with regard to both nutrition and exercise. If you are doing this, you will be successful at weight loss and becoming more healthy overall. If you are not, it's time to start.

However, I don't always choose complex carbs though - at the advice of a trainer and nutritionist, I do eat a simple carb after my workout to replace glycogen stores, followed by an easily digestible protein. If I don't have a reason for needing the simple carb however, then I stick to complex carbs :)

Foods high in fiber will also keep you feeling full longer, so if you have a protein bar after a workout, try to find one with a reasonable amount of fiber in it :)

I was thinking the same thing with the applesauce vs. oil ... and I have made several glazes w/out butter as well. I would definitely use the rum extract vs. the actual rum, use egg white substitute (I prefer those) and I would use Fat Free Cool Whip instead of whipping cream. I may have to try this b/c Mojitos are my FAVE!
