I’m in Auckland & would love to have more MFP friends, especially from NZ

I’m in Auckland! Not many of us here by the looks of it...
-
Feel free to add me too. In need of extra support and motivation too :-))
-
That’s why it’s best just off the spoon,, savouring that delicious peanut buttery goodness.... Mmmmm :-))

I love my smoothies!! Great way to get in fruits & veggies that I otherwise just wouldn’t eat. I’d recommend to make them in batches, about 3-4 at a time in the blender, freeze the extras in mason jars, and you always have a supply of healthy ready meals at your finger tips :-) My breakfasts most mornings is spinach,…

Wow!!! What an inspiration you are! Well done :-)

I love my road running too, and find cardio at the gym super boring. But with Winter fast approaching in New Zealand I have joined the gym recently so I have no weather related excuses not to work out. What motivates me is to treat myself each week to a new album on itunes and pump that while I'm on the treadmill, cross…

Bump the amount you're drinking up to about 5-6 cups a day and you should notice the weight falling off easier within a couple of weeks. It balances sugar levels so you're less likely to snack, increases energy & metabolism, and boosts the immune system. I'm quite caffeine sensitive too tho, so just be sure to get those…

I do, and am also on 1200 a day. Not too hard so long as I do a good work out. Feel free to add me as a friend. We could all do with a little extra support :)

I'm in Auckland too, out in Riverhead :)

I'm definitely going to be a bit more restrained than in past years, but will still have some of my faves. Where there is a dozen different options on the table I won't be having just a little bit of everything as I usually would. I'm going to find some nommy sounding semi-healthy recipes to make for Christmas :-)

My favourite would have to be the Windsor Pilates (with and without sculpting circle), and Zumba. Great for rainy days :)
-
Totally agreee! :)

I think this would largely depend on the types of people you have in your life. It's sad that some people can be so negative, but surely with someone who is clearly not in the healthy weight range most people would be supportive. I always say however that diet is a four letter word, and have always referred to it as eating…

Hi everyone! I'm Janey from Auckland. I've just been using MFP for about 2 wks and have already lost 2kgs, so I'm pretty happy with that :) I manage the NZ branch of a menu costing company, and I'm Mum to a 14 yr old daughter. I also have a husband who frustrates the hell out of me as he eats chocolate every single day,…

Hi! I'm from Auckland. New to MFP, so please add me. I would love to also meet fellow Kiwis :)

So glad to have found a NZ group! My name's Janey. I'm 35 years old, and I'm in Auckland. I'm 157cm, currently weigh 58kg, and my goat is 50kg. I have a fourteen year old daughter, who I am trying to set a good example in front of in terms of not dieting, but making healthy lifestyle choices, and exersizing regularly. I…

Hi I'm new here too, just been using the site about two weeks. Please feel free to add me as a friend
-
Totally! It is just easier to say no to chocolate or cookies as just having a little is just too hard :ohwell:

Well done! I have lost 4.5 pounds over about 2 weeks, and I am stoked with the differences I am starting to see already. Sometimes it's not about the numbers, but how we look and feel about ourselves!

I have a dog - border collie. He's my best friend in the world. Four cats, who all have their own distinct amazing personalities, and a red eared turtle, who outgrew her tank, and as we are yet to build her a pond outside which is protected from other animals, she has lived in the bathroom and bathtub for the past 6 months…

My husband and I pretty much always call each other 'darling' 'sweet heart' and 'honey'. I'm not too keen on any of those names if I stop and think about it, but it's a habbit that has stuck. If he calls me 'babe' though I Oink. It always make me think of the pig! I started calling him 'snookums' for a while there just to…

I think it's a great idea! I actually manage a company in NZ and Australia called MenuCoster, and as well as costing recipes we provide the nutritional information for every recipe, which we encourage the food establishments to display, or at least have readily available if customers want to know. The Coffee Club is…

I also feel sick from artifical sweetners. I'm prone to getting migraines, and they just make me feel nauseous. I even tried Stevia lately with no luck. I'm just sticking with the real deal - to a minimum.

Mmmmmm Sculpt is delish! I have had it every day for breakfast, and sometimes for lunch too, and just never get sick of it! I add LSA to mine as an extra boost.

I'm determind to lose 18lb by Christmas! I'm down under in New Zealand so it will be bikini weather then. Eeeeek!

Good call Stephanie! I like knowing people's names too. I'm Janey, and 35 years old, and I'm from Auckland, New Zealand. I'm just new here so would love people to add me as a friend :flowerforyou:

Thanks so much for the advice. Great to know I'm not alone, and I look forward to losing weight the healthy way and keeping it off!

I've been struggling with this too, as I used to always have a fast metabolism and thought once I started trying the weight would just fall off.. Not so anymore I'm afraid! One reason I do wonder is if the body is not used to getting fewer calories, could it be trying not to to shed the weight in case it needs the fat…
