I had to laugh at this one. Originally from Royal Oak, moved to Lapeer, moved south in high school and now live in Memphis. It's easier to exercise in the winters down here but brutal for outside activities from late June through mid-September.

The first one sounds good and you should be able to cut some of the calories by using unsweetened applesauce. I'm not sure I could go with the second one since I'm not a big pumpkin fan.

Splenda doesn't affect my blood sugar but it really depends on how much you consume and how your body processes it. Why not check your blood sugar right before and then at a few intervals after you have the tea?

I usually get the frozen fillets from Costco (either Ahi Tuna or Tilapia), season it with salt & fresh ground pepper. Then, sear it on the stove top in an oven proof skillet, using canola oil, for about a minute per side.
