I can see where your mind is at. It's easy to think "I'm here...done....don't need to do those things anymore" I think if you set small fitness goals for yourself now, instead of weight loss goals, it will help you keep on track. Also, remember that this new way of eating not only helped you lose weight, it helped you…

yum. what a fun drink! agreed that vodka would definitely kick it up a notch!

Like the others have said, it's almost impossible to spot reduce. But, the exercises mentioned are good. But you said you don't have access to a gym. How about purchasing some weights? They really don't cost that much and you get a lot of use out of them. I would also add that plank position works your abs/shoulders/lats…

From my days working retail at the Gap (yeah), we would generally put out summer stuff in early March. I would say if you want summery stuff for your cruise, be realistic about your weight loss goals using what you've lost so far as a gauge of how much you'll lose going forward and buy some stuff going on sale now as "goal…

Weigh in: 124.9 That's down 0.6 A loss is a loss I guess. Must try harder.

NICE! I'm going to officially TAP OUT (read: chicken out) on my weigh in this week cause it's that TOM. :noway: Let's see what happens next week.

I can't give you advice on diet cause i've never been preggers - Congratulations btw! But, one of my trainer friends was preggers and worked out through the majority of her pregnancy. The only changes she made was being extra careful about monitoring her heartrate and changing up her weightlifting routine.

Wouldn't it be lovely if we could spot reduce?!?! Like...just pick where the next pound is gonna leave our body. I hear ya girl. My thighs are crying with your love handles...(which I am sure aren't as bad as you think)

Totally agree. I lost weight when I was training for my first marathon but I know that I am the exception and not the norm. I just couldn't keep up with all the calories I was burning on long runs. Plus my mind was still in weight loss mode so I couldn't wrap my head around eating 2500-3000 calories on a 20mile run day, ya…

In general, absolutely. And one of my fitness heroes and unofficial coaches has told me that the older she gets the more she has to watch what she eats in order to stay fit. She still exercises 5 days/week but she has to be extra meticulous about what she eats the older she gets. Don't we have a lot to look forward to?…

Breakfast and Lunch are my largest (if you can call it that  ) and it tapers off after that

It's an interesting concept. Our bodies adapt so quickly so we have to keep it guessing. We do it with exercise so why wouldn't we do it with our diets too?

Happy Birthday and congratulations! You have some wonderful things to celebrate!

I think everyone is going to be different. One of my girlfriends is 5'6" and 120lbs and I'm 5'2.5" (on a good day) and weight 125.5 and we wear the same dress size. I think people carry weight in different places and will be different sizes at all different weights. As far as # of pounds = 1 dress size...while i was losing…

Like everyone has said, they have absolutely changed. My grandmother was such a fashionable young woman and kept most of her clothes in amazing condition. I have been lucky enough to inherit some amazing pairs of dark rinse jordaches (think skinny jeans waaay before they were popular) and awesome sun dresses and they're a…

i can happily say neither did I. I didn't lose weight during the long weekend but I didn't gain weight either. I watched my portions and enjoyed the company I was with! I swam in the lake and hung out with friends.

possible? yeah. sustainable? i'm not sure. I know you want to make big changes and want to get under a certain weight by a certain time. But I think you have to be realistic about long term goals. I say go for big things but keep in mind what your body can handle and what level of exercise and nutritional regimen you can…

Hey Terri This is a great approach. I can affirm that that as a fellow member of the greater sex (if i do say so myself  ) we tend to push ourselves harder AND give ourselves a harder time when we don't. We don't know the meaning of balance, I think. That's just my opinion. I think this new plan is going to work…

193 - 170 = took some work but was consistently 1-2lbs/week 170 - 150 = a breeze; don't even remember it. 150 - 135 = a slow crawl. Seriously fought for every 0.25lb to come off 135 - 110 = training for a marathon so I really wasn't keeping track. It was awesome 110 - 140/145 = thought I was in love with my Ex;…
