Have a small party with friends who have gardens (or received an abundance of one veggie like you) and switch out for other summer veggies.

I think leading by example is one of the best things that you are already doing. I think a few years ago Jessica Seinfeld wrote a book about this cause, like you, she just couldn't get her kids to eat healthy. While we would like kids to crave these foods in their most natural form now, I don't necessarily think (this is…

Talk to your family about your goals and how serious you are about them. Ask them to love you enough not to do that and to eat their own food and not to enable you to make bad decisions. Also, is there any way to make enough food for just THAT meal with no leftovers? If you cook often enough, you should know by now how…

i dunno why, but i love this thread...  Today: 1 cup cream of wheat 1 tbsp honey 1small banana In 2 hours: 2 fig newtons 6 almonds

BMI is tricky and like the others have said not the be all and end all measurement of weight loss and health, in my opinion. For instance, my BF is 6'6" and weighs 220. He looks normal, even thin to me, but according to a BMI chart, he is overweight. WHAT? If he lost 20 pounds he would look too skinny and sick.

that sounds interesting! i'm a cinnamon girl myself but this sounds cool. I have a sample pack of what you're talking about so i might have to try this. Thanks!

maybe a little vanilla yogurt in the batch would bump up the moist and flavor factor of the muffins.

Running on an empty stomach is absolutely okay in my book. I'm not saying that as an authority, but for me it works. If I eat before a run, I get sick. Now, before a long run - anything above 6 miles - if I don't eat anything, I run the risk of losing energy so I eat and then wait a while before I run. What do you eat…

love that healthy BMI!!!! yay!

Hey June Challengers! I was sick for a few days and started eating "normal food" on sunday night. Decided to wait til today to weigh in to let the water weight loss from sickness go away! :) Happy to say I'm down 2 lbs! wahoo! Officially 126.5. 1.5 away from June goal!

Might be a little time consuming - but it's only for 4weeks give or take - but it's kind of an opportunity to buy fresh food everyday. I know that sounds crazy and may not be completely attainable but you may have to hit up your local grocery story every day for your perishables for your meals that day. I would buy a few…

I think people hold weight differently. People look at old pics of me and don't believe that i weighed 193. They really believe that I'm lying. I'm not saying she is or she isnt but I just don't see any reason for her to, ya know? I like Jillian as a trainer cause she can relate. No offense to the trainers out there who…

arielle - this might sound silly, but are you pairing your carbs with protein or enough protein to make the carbs last longer? I run a lot so i definitely get the carb craving thing. i try and make sure my carbs last and i also follow up my runs with some LF milk for protein (and carbs) Hope this helps.

Fried Rice -yes, you read that correctly. homemade.

I think mini-goals might be the way to go. And at each height there is a wide range for what is considered "healthy weight" for a reason. As others have suggested, try losing 10% of your body weight, see how you feel and then set another small mini goal for yourself.

I call it my "kitchen sink" pasta i want to get rid of the bits and pieces of veggies and meats i have lying around before they go bad and i'm trying really hard not to waste any food. Tonight - i think - it will be peppers, onions, broccoli, carrots, and ground turkey I sautee it in a bit of olive oil with minced garlic…

I think success is measured by many things. If you feel tethered to your scale and it's been driving you nuts, put it away for a while and focus on the building muscle and tone if that's what you're drawn to. As long as you're feeling and seeing results in other ways, more power to you. The process is working for you,…

Vacation does not = Vacation from goals Keep it in the back of your head. You know your dos and don'ts. Eat as you normally would at home, focus more on the activity, environment, relaxation aspects of the vacay and i think you will find that you will, at the very least, hopefully, be the same weight you were when you left…

Hey there, I have several variations depends on what I have in my fridge and how much work i really want to put into it. If I feel like imitating the ones I LOVE from the Cheesecake factory - if you've never had them you should cause they're out of this world and really not that bad for you...I can say that's the god's…
