  • I'm sure your weigh in will go great, Terry! :) putting out good thoughts for you! :flowerforyou: as for me, I jumped on the scaled for a mid week weigh in and i've lost 0.4 from monday's 0.2 gain...so net i've lost 0.2 hell, i'll take it. :)
  • 2 - frozen small york peppermint patties skinny cow truffle bars cliff mini chocolate chip bars all 100 cal or under and so delish
  • i think wonder has a 100 cal bun but if you can't find it, your original plan sounds good and delish.
  • whew! i thought it was just me. i mean, i know i'm hard on myself with regard to body image and whatnot, but when it comes to actual execution i give myself a pass too much i think. even today i think i just could have made better choices.

  • i think this is trial and error for each person who suffers with PF> in my case, some PT and then custom orthodics and the right shoes did wonders and i've run 5 marathons since. herbal remedies or acupuncture could work too. exercise: i swam and did yoga when i couldn't run. i also danced like a maniac on the weekends.…
  • i think exercise has gotten a bad rap. for some people it has become a chore, ya know? if it becomes this healthy, enjoyable thing you do for, say, 30 minutes to 1 hour a few times a week to ensure strong bones and muscles and heart health, i think it takes on a whole new meaning. these are long term! how awesome is that.…
  • pineapple. or sometimes i mix it in with a red sauce and pasta. (kind of like a ricotta cheese) or just a plain spoonful after a workout as a recovery bite
  • WOW! that's a long, very good list. To be honest, that's a really intimidating list. Maybe i'm just a chicken   I take it one thing at a time, one change at a time cause i know my personality well enough that if i bombard myself with a list, I'm going to feel overwhelmed. But again...that is just me. I make a…
  • Heatherine - Couch to 5k is a really useful program and would help. Also, do you wear a hat when you run? That may trap some heat on your head and cause some overheating. It does for me sometimes. Mesh running hats with wicking might work better. Summerbabe - for your shoulders, you might be tensing them up or holding them…
  • i like to make my stir fry a little thai style saute peppers and onions for a few minutes in a tbsp of oil add in the meat and then the garlic and hoisin and fish sauce. i also add in some thai chilis or a fresh jalapeno if i don't have access to thai chili. then about 2minutes before serving i add in some torn fresh sweet…
  • rest up! it makes your next workout more effective! enjoy your day off! :flowerforyou:
  • 4 oz grilled chicken breast (190) 1 chopped apple (80) 2 cups mixed baby greens (15) 1/4 cup feta cheese (100) 3 oz newman's own light balsalmic (80) 465 calories that's my dinner :) under 500!
  • squat squat squat, lunge lunge lunge and also remember...a girl like kim k gets frequent lipo and body contouring done to have that hourglass shape. i say tone what your momma gave you and work it!
  • it's possible. i'm not a huge fan of running on treadmills if possible unless i'm doing speed training and even then. i would try the chiropractor and see how that goes and once healed build a little slower on the miles.
  • I had similar pain a few months ago. Mine was sharp and focused in my lower back though my entire back was pretty stiff. I would run through it and it seemed fine but who knows if adrenaline was covering up the pain during the run. And when i resumed the rest of my day, it hurt to bend over or attempt to sit or pretty much…
  • woah. seeing this post just made my day. :flowerforyou: i know i'm trying to cut back on diet soda but considering ONE is going into a whole cake...cmon!

  • when i'm trying to gain a little more muscle or i'm training for races i up my protein a little bit (about 10g) because i know i'm breaking down more muscle tissue. i also think that guys and girls have diff protein needs. i might be wrong.
  • man, yesterday was horrible. got sick from a bad batch of oatmeal (who knew that was possible?) prepared by someone else and thankfully recovered by late afternoon. tried to do some running but it ended up being a lame walk/run endeavor. back to the drawing board today... maybe i will fare better when tcasmey posts a june…
  • i've been on a banana nut cheerios kick lately (jokingly call it banana nut crack) . i add in half a cup of blueberries.
  • man. i feel worse. working from home now cause i couldn't sit up and kept getting sick.
  • muh. i gained. 0.2. last week 130.8 today: 131 going to eat super super clean for the next few days and weigh back in.
  • i could eat avocados for breakfast lunch and dinner. this sounds awesome. thank you
  • i would try a different type of run. it's part of what i do to train for races...called a "fartlek" training method...Excuse the title :indifferent: :blushing: just like neenaleigh suggested with confusing your metabolism with food, this will keep it guessing with exercise...you start with a walk or light jog...then you…
  • I'm a big fan of doing this. I buy the tiny half bag ziplocs and the 8oz ziploc tupperware for my cereal and snacks. otherwise i'm prone to eat right out of the box and i most certainly eat the entire thing. :noway:
  • Good morning all, I love reading up on all of your successes! little, big...they all count! :flowerforyou: My weigh in is on Monday so as I head into the weekend I will keep that in mind and eat Mindfully. I usually have one "free" meal on the weekend when I go out to dinner with boyfriend but maybe I will be a little more…
  • i've never been a big fan of the word "skinny". everyone's definition is different and it's societal definition seems to constantly change depending on which celebrity or socialite is the hottest at the moment. if i were constantly chasing after that, i'd go crazy and give myself a serious complex. I don't think it's my…
  • Ha! If I got 10 extra calories for every post. Now...how many calories do I burn for typing? I type 80+ wpm...it's nothing to brag about. I just have to for what I do...plus I'm a part of the AIM generation....we just learn to type in code...plus it's all full of errors. I digress...So how many calories do I get?!…
  • i have an ALWAYS sugar craving. so i make sure my snacks in between meals incorporate some sort of "sweet" to soothe it. My cliff bar is a chocolate chip cliff bar or my homemade trail mix has a few m&ms in it. If i don't give in, I get worse than the cookie monster jonesing for a jar of cookies... :grumble:
  • um. WOW. that sounds dangerously good. i might eat the whole tub.
  • congrats on your first race! personally, i don't think you need to rest your legs a ton considering you're not running an extremely long distance...not to short change your first race, which is awesome! I think taking Saturday off is plenty. Remember to stay hydrated through the race. Pace yourself, you know your…
