Yeah! Are you new or have you been here before? HOw are you liking MFP so far? I have 70lbs to go, too. We should compete ;)

Orphia, you got it! I downloaded the couch to 10k. I always leap-frogged over the walking bits, but I think this time I'll try to stick them out and maintain a goal pace! 7lenny7, that's a really inspiring story. Did you seriously just end up running when you thought you were just going to walk 5k? And wow how sis you pace…

Great tips all! Thanks for sharing your stories and the chart. I ran for 5 minutes straight on the treadmill at my usual level 6 on an incline of 1- it went well. I enjoy doing the walk/run intervals right now. So I'm going to keep that up and find a couch to 10k or something to train with.

You guys all rock! Thanks for the pointers. I'll update on my statuses if you'd like to friend and join in the fun :D
-
Yeah! Thanks for the tips! :D so far I can only jog 5 minutes without pushing myself too hard. But I'm tracking the progress!

Great tips! Already got the shoes last year - apparently I'm "light on my feel for a heavy person" (lol she actually used those words)... So far so good!
-
Absolutely! I'm just getting back into the gym, running, going binge-free, and eating right despite the desk job. I'm 28, female-bodied. Anyone else in a similar boat?
-
Thanks for the vote of confidence :) How were your joints getting back into it? Wow, you trained for a half??! Just the 10k sounds daunting, but makes me pretty stoked that other people have accomplished more!
-
Thanks guys - yeah I've read Brain Over Binge. So logical. So not easy still! Hah :)

33. Severe. Hmm.

Today marks two weeks binge-free (not to be mistaken for over-eating-free... You know what i mean?) I put weight loss on hold for the past couple of weeks, including exercise. Next week I'm going to get back into running and see how that feels. Baby steps :) We have the power!!!
-
Guys! I just did a full week! A little over-eating, but no bingeing. Tonight was hard but doable. :) yeah! We're all powerful people; I know you can do this too!!!
-
Guys you're all doing amazing no matter where you're at. Thanks for sharing. Day 5!
-
No one is alone! :) well that feels corny to say, eh? True though
-
Still a bad mental state when you think 1) that sounds good and 2) that's not a big binge. Haha... I just downloaded Brain Over Binge cuz someone else on the forum recommended it. I'll let you know how it goes.
-
It really is all mental, isn't it? Crazy that :)
-
I'm doing the second round, too. So you also find its harder the second time around? :)
-
Good luck :)

How'd it go?

Me: 7 The Binge: 9 Neutral: 2 Neutral defines days where I've overeaten or gave into junk, but didn't give in to a complete binge.
-
Me: 7 The Binge: 9 At least the last binge was more like overeating, but I'm considering it a binge because I walked to the store to get junk.
-
Brain fog. I just got over a week-long binge and the #1 thing I noticed was that concentrating and learning was sooooo much harder.
-
Running my farthest ever (11.25km)!!!!!

Me: 5 The Binge: 8 (all in a row) Went for a nice LONNNNNNNG (longest ever) run this morning. Usually when I exercise, my motivation to refrain from binging is higher. Keeping that in mind, I signed up for a 5k at the end of the month ( Sponsor here: http://bit.ly/1ly7HJA ). I'm hoping that having a goal will aid in…

Foggy-brain syndrome. Sugar makes it so hard to concentrate!

You should do some research, then! Seeing red after passing something too large is fine, if uncomfortable. It means, to get graphic, that your rectum wasn't ready to push out something large. When it's bleeding all the time, or it's black and tarry, or even maroon, then you have a problem.

Welcome, Tony! Hopefully your journey is a positive one. You can do anything you set your mind to, so long as it's within the constraints of your body. Good luck!

I have to choose? Tamari Almonds Pecans with raisins Spinach/mango/tofu smoothie I'm going with the smoothie as a favourite right now. I keep them under 200 calories and they're quick, easy and nutritious.
