You're welcome to add me! 25 years old with about 35 pounds left to go.

I'm at 1470 plus exercise (2-4 times a week). Feel free to add me!

Welcome back! Just sent you an add request :)

For me, it's as simple as, "Do I still get out of breath when I walk a long distance or climb a couple flights of stairs?" That was one of the first things that helped wake me up in terms of needing to do something about my weight. Also, when I can go up a little in the amount of weight I use with my workouts (I don't lift…

Too much for what? To lose 2 lbs per week? Try scaling back a bit and eating more food. You haven't really given the app a chance if you reject the MFP estimation out of hand and then don't even log your food. At least a few weeks or months, just for a trial period.

Isn't that what exercise calories are for? :drinker:

My husband and I aren't going to start trying for a baby for a couple more years, but that is one of the reasons why I want to get in better shape. I think it'll be easier for me to stay healthy during and after pregnancy if my good habits are already in place by that time. Plus, I'd like to enjoy my awesome new body for a…

I'd like to be back in a single digit size - an 8 would be wonderful, and if I could do a 6, great. But I'm not too hung up on it.

I did this by accident, hah. Was so excited to fit into an old pair of Old Navy size 12s that I bought two more on sale. They're both a bit too snug, but I'm determined to fit into them before the return policy runs out. Just a couple more pounds...

This is a good idea. Also, look into circuit training. You won't be lifting heavy, but it's a good way to cram a tough workout into a short time frame.

I think stress caused me to put on a lot of my weight. It's mostly because I got too busy to exercise, and/or I would just eat whatever was easiest because I felt I was too busy to cook. I'm not angry at myself, because it was a very difficult time, but I do think it's important to get back in gear once things settle down…

So much good advice in this thread! OP, you have a lot of options now to try. I'm going to echo that (a) treats are good, make them part of your calories and stop trying to restrict yourself unnecessarily and (b) use exercise to give yourself more wiggle room in your calories. It used to be that I had to exercise to feel…

I would start out by learning the basics, like how to make pasta dishes and stir frys. (I'm going to ignore anyone who replies and freaks out about the carbs. I love carbs. Carbs are my friend.) The reason I suggest this is that (a) it's a great way to get in a couple servings of veggies, and (b) you can vary what you put…

Yup, I've heard multis with iron can cause nausea for a lot of people. I take Vitafusion gummies and adore them. They taste great, so taking my daily vitamin no longer feels like a chore. Also, I should mention that I take mine first thing in the morning after getting out of bed (so before breakfast) and do not feel sick…

I'm going to be starting Ripped in 30 on Monday. I've already done the Shred twice. I'd like to join you guys if that's okay, given that it's still a Jillian Michaels challenge and takes about 30 minutes :) Feel free to add me!

It's been about 15 pounds per size for me. Everyone is different! On a similar note, every company that produces jeans is different. The style and store can make a difference. I'd still give it some time before trying a smaller size again, but when you do, maybe shop around at different places and see what fits you best.…

I really hope you don't think you'll be able to sustain 600-900 cals a day for the rest of your life. I mean that sincerely. Now, you said you work 12 hr days and don't get breaks. Pretty sure some law is being broken there. Do some research. As far as getting more information about macros and nutrition, try reading some…

You know what, I don't agree with this. I think, like others have said, that you are making a lot of excuses in order to avoid having to change your current plan. I get it - you want the weight to come off quickly. But you didn't put it on quickly, and trying to be patient will help you keep it off in the long run. (You…

+1 for Jillian. 95% of what I've done so far since starting to lose weight has been her DVDs. If you decide you want to go that route, feel free to message me and I can provide more specific recommendations.

+1 on trying to incorporate treats more frequently into your normal diet and seeking some help for your anxiety. Get the cross-trainer fixed, if you can. At least for me, exercise is really helpful for managing stress. Good luck!

I really didn't like the Yoplait because all I could taste was the artificial sweetener, but that's just me. I love Chobani (especially the coconut almond flip) and Muller (especially the caramelized almond). They're still loaded with sugar, but I struggled for years to enjoy yogurt and I'm just glad I can finally eat it.…

Jillian Michaels might be a good fit for you, since most of her DVDs use the equipment you have. If you're pretty new to exercise, try her Frontside/Backside DVDs. A little more intermediate, maybe the 30 day shred or Ripped in 30. Advanced, I'd suggest No More Trouble Zones or Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism. She has a lot…

+1 for the crock pot. That thing has changed my life. You mentioned using a family cookbook. Would it be possible for you to cut down the amount of ingredients you use to make a smaller portion? Like, if it calls for a pound of chicken breast to feed 4, only use 1/4 pound of chicken breast. Another idea is to make enough…

I don't really like looking at photos of myself at my highest weight, and I wasn't proud of having reached that number on the scale, but I don't feel angry. That girl was dealing with a lot of stress and hadn't yet found a way to cope with all that she was juggling. It was kind of a dark time for me, but I emerged from it…

+1. Most people do not need to be at 1200 calories. I know you want to lose fast, but Rome wasn't built in a day and you didn't gain all of your extra weight in a day. It's better to be patient and be kind to your body as you lose weight. Also, some will disagree but I never put any foods off limits. I wouldn't have stuck…

Fruit is generally a good idea, especially stuff that isn't all that messy (I would pick apples, bananas, or clementines over mangoes). Maybe find some chips on the healthier side (think whole grain, reduced sodium) to satisfy salty or savory cravings. Those P3 protein packs put out by Oscar Meyer aren't bad, although you…

Hi there! I'm at 190 now (down about 30 pounds from my ATH of 218) and my GW is 140. Feel free to add me :-)

I feel much more independent, even partway to my goal weight. I can walk places if I don't have access to the car or bus and I can carry heavy stuff if needed. (Nothing better than having a guy ask if he can help and being able to say, "Nope! I got it! Thanks!") Plus I actually like looking at myself in the mirror and…

I don't eat a big breakfast, but I do sometimes get hungry around 10 AM and have a snack, like yogurt or an apple. If your schedule permits, I recommend trying that so that you don't feel pressure to eat a whole bunch at breakfast when you're not hungry. I also try to get in a snack between lunch and dinner, and that…

If you aren't up to 30DS level but like JM, I'd recommend her Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones DVDs. They use some of the same exercises as the Shred but at a slower pace (because the full workouts are longer), and you can pick and choose different segments if you need to build up to doing the whole…
