Be patient. It took time for all of us to put on the weight so it'll take time to take it off too. Track EVERYTHING you eat. Water, water, water, water, water As someone stated up above, plan your meals ahead of time Exercise 5 times a week This needs to be a lifestyle change, not a quick "diet" fix...It gets tough for…

When I went out to breakfast I said no to hashbrowns, went for egg whites instead of whole eggs in my omelet, and asked for my wheat toast dry... lol It might not sound like a huge accomplishment but I really like hashbrowns, butter on my toast, and whole eggs haha:) Good job to everyone else today! God bless

I used to binge all the time too...It was a combination of things but I would mostly due it me being stressed, emotional, sad, etc. And food, in that moment, comforted me and didn't make me feel as "empty" I guess you could say? I'm sure you've heard this but experts say that an emotional trigger usually trigger's binge…

Being patient in the process...that's the toughest part but it's definitely making me a stronger person so that's okay. This gal could use more patience :)

Absolutely! Definitely read up on it and get information on the barefoot or minimalistic shoes.

I have them, I love them, and I run in them. You totally have to change your running form though. My dad is an ultra runner and runs in them too. They're not for everyone and I think I lot of the issues that people have had is due to people not using them properly. Go to a store and at least try them on, they feel super…

Can I join??! I have lost 70 pounds and would like to lose at least another 35 ideally, if not 45. Whoever reads this please add me! I'll motivate if you motivate!! :) God bless!

First off, I have to say that you are absolutely beautiful!! Secondly, exercise is a part of the losing weight equation. Yes, you can lose weight by just eating healthy. My personal trainer said to me that weight loss is 80% of what you eat and 20% of exercise. With that being said...Try waking up a extra 45 minutes early…

Ask yourself two questions..."Do I risk giving up and possibly gaining more weight? Or do I be patient with the process and see what I'm really capable of?" This process is a marathon, not a sprint and don't be discouraged!:) Everyone's body is different and sometimes it takes a couple weeks for your individual body to…

That's good to know because I've been thinking the same thing! Very encouraging/motivating...:)

Every week I have a mini goal and reward:) My goal every week is to lose 2 pounds! If I hit that (again, just a guideline:P) some rewards include: Driving to Lake Michigan to walk the beach/pier Buy a book Get hair done Go to museums mani/pedi buy new running gear Visit one of my favorite towns in northern MI Buy a spring…

It's healthy to take a day off and it's actually a great time for your body to rest. If you're sticking to your healthy eating on that day off, then don't worry! On the different side of things, congrats that you got to that point of feeling guilty! It sounds weird but better to feel guilty then to not feeling guilty and…

Same. Planning ahead is key. Also, trying to clean out the items in your households that are trigger foods for you! I'm not saying that you can't treat yourself but make sure there isn't a stockpile of food that might tempt you. Also, try a smoothie or a protein shake instead of a chocolate shake. Or try the mac and cheese…

My dad is an ultra runner and he always said that if you need to stop and walk to catch your breath, then do it! No shame, it'll get easier for you the more consistent and longer you run. Good luck and God bless :)

Oh my goodness I know what you mean! It feels awkward at times because if you say "no" to dessert, or no to aunt sally's potato salad, it's as if they are offended unfortunately. I say stick to your guns, you're doing amazing and they don't have to live in your body, you do. God bless :)

I started weighing myself every morning and became disappointed when I didn't lose everyday...well HELLO! haha in a perfect world, we'll lose everyday... I'm trying to ween myself off the scale because I don't want to be defined by it! We should be defined by our everyday successes, ex: looser clothes, saying "no" to a…

Well I'm glad there are other people out there that can relate to me! Great ideas too! I don't want to blow this weekend so I'm going to try my best at making the healthier choices and not give in just because I'm being pressured. "If you don't stand up for something, you'll fall for anything..."
-
great ideas, thank you!

I have to lose about 40 pounds and would love to encourage and support you in any way! Feel free to add me!! God bless

I've learned and am still learning the value of being confident in myself and working hard when things get tough. It's easy to stay focused and motivated when things are going well, but it's how I react when thrown a curveball that really matters and I used to really struggle with that. [/quote] Ahhh! SO true, it's like…

I think we all struggle with wanting to see results and in such a little time...See this journey as a lifestyle change and be happy in making good eating decisions and staying active. The weight will come off, the inches will fade...we just have to give our bodies enough time to prove it.

I'm here for you! I'll add you as a friend and do my best to be an encourager! You can do this!! God bless

I ran my first half marathon trail run last summer and it was absolutely amazing!
