I make oatmeal shakes with it. Add a banana, skim milk, ice, and cinnamon. It tastes great. You can also freeze it to make shakes later.

The heart rate monitor is MUCH more accurate than your treadmill. My elliptical calculates that I burn twice as many calories as my hrm does (I own a polar as well). The hrm goes by your heart rate, and I am guessing that your treadmill does not. Go by the hrm. You definitely didn't waste your money.

I always suggest drinking a glass or two of water when you feel hungry. This is because a lot of times your body will confuse dehydration for hunger. If 15 minutes later you are still hungry, then you should eat something. I make a point of drinking at least 10 cups of water a day and it helps suppress "hunger" a lot.

My mother recently had the same issue. She started drinking protein shakes to make up for the lost calories. After one week of no exercise, she couldn't deal with it anymore and started by jogging for ten minutes. If she felt ok after that then she kept going. Its definitely from change in diet then. Your body should adjust to the increase in fiber (healthy foods naturally have more fiber than processed ones). I would give it a week, and if you aren't better by then see a doctor.

Fremont itself is an awesome place to visit, you can see great pieces of art on every street corner (such as a statue of lenin), and visit some interesting shops along the way. Go to a store that specializes in running shoes. You will end up paying a little more money for your shoes (good running shoes are around $100), but it will be so worth it! I made the initial mistake of buying some cheapo running shoes at Fred Meyer and ended up getting plantar fasciitis because of it.

I brew my coffee the night before and keep it in my fridge. I think iced, or cold, coffee tastes better. Another bonus to drinking iced coffee is that your body burns more calories when you drink cold beverages than when you drink warm ones!

I have been told by doctors if the cold is neck up then it's safe to exercise. However, if it's a chest issue then don't exercise!

What if you made the burgers with lean ground turkey? Then you can have buns for the picky eaters and you could do yours lettuce wrapped. I have fed these to a mens softball team before and they had no idea it wasn't ground beef!
