I'm tempted. But I like dairy a lot.

Nice! Could you share some advice on how you got there?

Give them to charity/throw them in the trash, depending on their condition. It's the sweetest thing ever. Oh, and my mother occasionally takes some things.

Wahey, thanks for all the positive replies! Squats will be incorporated into my life.

You can get plain soy yoghurt which I think has less sugar than dairy.

Perserverance and patience. It sucks, but one day you'll get on the scale, or try on some clothes or something, and have a nice surprise.

Bump.

Don't give yourself the mental option of even going near food.

I don't think so :( it obviously varies with people, but I've seen a photo of a girl who was clearly anorexic, or dangerously thin anyway as her ribs were sticking out and things, but you could still see that her frame was bigger on her lower half, with her bones and things. I'm pear shaped and I've found that running and…

I'm really sorry for posting a rant, but I've failed again and I'm so frustrated!! I've beaten the whole eating after dinner thing, I'm fine til midnight, but then I zombie walk in the middle of the night about 3 times and have like crackers, chocolate, cheese...It's so frustrating! Every damn day now. Every day. I'm not…

Yoghurt (dairy, soy's fine) Biscuits Crackers Potato-ey things Cereal Basically anything wheat based. Giving up wheat and sugar, i.e. stupid carbs, is the goal. Breaking the bread addiction was the best thing I ever did.

I think changes can be so gradual and small and slow that they creep up on you. Then one day you'll try something on, or see yourself in the mirror, and see a difference. If you keep at whatever you're doing, that is. So try not to feel too discouraged and keep at it, and remember it's more of a marathon than a sprint.

Thanks everyone, all useful stuff! I am 10kg heavier than in my profile pics, which I haven't updated because I hate the way I look now. I was concerned about strength training because I thought that it would maybe make that area look worse, as I need to be lean for the muscle to show, but I think strength training is the…

I've gained 10kg since then.

The surprises :) you try on something you think will be too small, and nope, it's fine.
-
Just started and couldn't even do the damn warm up :( I suck. How long does it take to not suck?

Plain soy yoghurt by alpro- delcious, thick and creamy and less addictive than the dairy ones.

39kg lost? Yes, you're doing something right :P

Do what works for you. If you agree with their points and try what they recommend, and it works for you, go for it. I personally quite liked the book and fit their recommendations into my life in a way, but more for weight reasons than ethical ones, and I do what works for me, eg. I don't have fruit for breakfast. I do…

The Biggest Loser!! I usually hate those kind of shows, but it shows you that ANYONE can lose weight, work hard and be healthy. It stops you from making the "I'm too fat to X" excuse.

A bottle of water, and green and lemon tea.
-
It didn't really help with weight loss per se, but after starting from scratch I looked a lot better in less than a month.

I think learning the difference between hunger and eating out of boredom/sadness/habit/the ohf***it feeling, etc. is important...then when you have the urge to eat and it's not out of hunger, replace it with something that makes you feel better. Also be kind to yourself...I always eat more, or eat for no reason, when I'm…

Plain yoghurt. Tasty, healthy, comforting, but not too filling to ruin dinner.

Chopped bananas in almond milk :)

Me too, but it doesn't mean it'll happen again. It's in the past now, nothing time won't take care of. Think of it as a ****ty lesson learned.

NATURAL YOGHURT. I swear I could quite happily devour a 500g pot in one shot if I let myself...and I've come close. I seriously need to get dairy out of my life.

Thanks everyone. I have been aware that it's self harm for a while because sometimes I have gone on until my stomach has started to hurt, and my heart's going like crazy.

Thanks for the tips. Yes, it's definitely emotional/bad habits, and yes, I need to sort my life out >.< Iit's definitely not physical hunger, I keep going when I'm full because it feels good in that moment...
