  • I am overwhelmed by the responses. I spent a day obsessing over this topic on mfp a week ago, and a week not doing anything about it. Only to come back to see others going through the same thing. Distractions from dieting are good! Gives you time to be yourself, and show your progress. Then you can come back to it! Here I…
  • Get a bathing suit for like 7 at walmart and work out in it at home.
  • I lost a great amount of weight, and broke my ankle that required surgery. Quickly gained a pretty good bit.. So I know what you mean. The weight went on fast. Taking it off has been not so easy. Congrats on your 100 pounds that is awesome! What a difference!
  • Thank you for saying that, As I was just standing up straight in the mirror.. I have abs and look thin.. As soon as I sit down, plow, the gut comes out over the shorts. I will be more mindful of posture. Thanks again for the inspiration!
  • I Love to Eat! I am a sucker for trying anything new.. I go to restaurants and get the best thing on the menu... I love food! I can't say that I have ever really been addicted, besides just loving it. When it came time to lose the weight and on a everything goes mantra, I created my own diet. I gave up one or two things a…
  • I have just started weight lifting, but since I stopped doing the ab exercises at home, there is def. a difference, that's why I am getting back to it, it is free and easy. I am doing both at this point.
  • Increase your water intake and do an ab challenge. I am fighting this too, and have found this to be the culprit. You are def. thin enough.
  • 5ft 4 hovering around 150, trying to get in the 130's.
  • Ha Ha, I should have mentioned it is just the oranges, not the soda, lol.
  • Hi Bryon, I too am stuck around there, 147 some days, but mostly 149-151, I can't seem to move the scale. I am shooting for anything in the 130's. Looks like your calorie intake is too low for starters. Mine probably is too now that I think about it, I have gotten to where I can feel satisfied eating very little. Also,…
  • You look great! Got any tips?
  • I have been studying this middle age phenomenon (menopot) all day,I finally stumbled across a site, that answered all my questions. Which was a relief, because I was running into things like, cardio will make you gain weight! What? Anyhow, in the more comprehensive site, it recommended cardio, strength and core exercises.…
  • I have hit a plateau. I weigh constantly. I have lost ten pounds, and no more, struggling with the middle age part of weight loss at this point. I finally broke down and joined the local Gym,I asked for advice this morning on how to ditch the scale. I ended up writing a note on the scale that that says, is it Friday?? lol.…
  • Keep Changing it up to keep it interesting.... I just joined a gym, and only for one month, because I know I won't commit. As I am doing this, I am planning for the next endeavor (like yoga or something).. I just read this morning that burning 400 cals. a day will help with my menopot that won't go away. This week, I am…
  • Give your self a cut out time, there are mixed reviews about stopping eating at 8 pm ( such as, it makes no difference as long as you stay within your calorie count), but I believe in it. It gives you time to metabolize your food before the next day weigh in and generally speaking, I have found it is relatively easy to do,…
  • I started out doing an ab challenge, which inspired me to lose some weight. I lost ten pounds with diet and floor exercises. I have now hit a plateau. I still have an extra 10-20 I want to lose. That inspired me to break down and join our city recreation center. I got a one month for 30.00 no contract and it was much…
  • I am doing 2 Percent, because I actually like it better than 1 percent, skim or whole. I have been reading a lot today about the need for Vitamin D for losing belly fat, as well as what you mentioned about needing it to lose fat (still trying to wrap my head around that). I am not eating after 8 pm, but decided if I need…

  • They say the exercise can cause it, building muscle. I lost 8 and gained two back, that's when I decided to start using the fitness pal. I slacked off last week due to cramps if you get my drift, so I earned the two pounds coming back to me. I started running today which I didn't want to do, but trying to deal with the…
  • I read somewhere that not eating enough will make you hold on to fat. I have given up on fried food, soda, cake, cookies and white bread. Just to keep my portions a little more reasonable mostly, but I have still been eating and trying not to obsess over the calories so much. I quit eating after 8 pm to prevent more…
  • Yep. I created my own diet, of no white bread, no fired food, no cake, no cookies and no soda. No food after 8 pm. I figure since it is really not possible to loose more than 1-3 pounds a week, I can't go wrong. I'm also doing an ab and squat challenge daily, I have lost 6 lbs in three weeks, but my ticker tape is late, so…
  • Crystal Light is good, and also that wal-mart brand lemonade is only 5 cal. I have been drinking unsweet tea, and the other day, after weeks of no sweet drinks, I put Splenda in my tea and it was SO sweet and delicious!
  • I just read something today about how starving yourself will make you hold on to your fat. I believe that! I created my diet myself, and have cut out white bread, fried food, cake and cookies and soda. 0 calorie drinks only. I am eyeballing between 1500-2000 calories a day, along with an ab and squat challenge daily. I am…
  • Awesome! Thanks, same to you! This is pretty neat, I signed up a week or so ago, and just got back on to it. Talk about accountability! I guess we can choose to enter exercises and stuff only if we want?
  • I think I got it!
  • How do you get the little how many pounds lost tag?
