I use a heart rate monitor and I burned 169. But it will be different for everyone depending on height, weight and heart rate. :)

Just completed Day 1. Phew! What a workout! Really need to work on my strength and core!! I'm anxious to see what results I get :) I want to stick with this! I have a problem of not finishing. Hopefully you all will help keep me on track!! Really, what's 30 days??? We can do this!!!

I'm a dental hygienist. I tell people to brush and floss or their teeth will rot and fall out of their head. Maybe in a more refined manner, but they get the point ;)

I find MFP way over estimates calories burned. It wasn't until I bought a HRM (Polar F7) that I started getting accurate readings. Same goes for treadmills/ellipticals at the gym. Even if you enter your weight, it still over estimates. Hope this helped :)

I'm 5' 2" and 131. Goal weight of 115 to 120.

I find that the calorie burn on exercise machines are not very accurate. If you just get one them and go, it has no idea if you are 120lbs or 350lbs. Even when it asks for you to input your age, weight and height, when I compare it to my HRM, the machines estimate 100 calories MORE.

Hi and welcome to MFP! When you set up your "goals", it should ask you how active you are in a day without exercise. Whether you work at a desk, are a nurse, salesperson, etc. This will determine your caloric intake. Hope this made sense!

I did it last summer. It's an amazing program...I couldn't run for 30 seconds without thinking I was going to keel over and pass out. Now I can run 10K! Best advice would be to listen to your body. If you have to repeat a week, do it! I did! Good luck! You've got this!

I pretty much disregard my consumption of complex carbs/sugars. They are natural and healthy. It's the simple/refined sugars that I try (and sometimes horribly fail at..lol) to avoid.
