It's awesome hearing so many people experiencing the same, brilliant and often unexpected feeling  I've got to admit, i'm often shocked that i've lost anything, let along 22lbs because i don't forgo anything really. I still have the occasional bottle of cider in the sun or piece of chocolate or even a cooked…

I've been on all sorts over the years and only one has caused weight gain which was Mirtazapine. In fact I think switching pills last month has increased my weight loss which really shocked me.

I have seen endo cause a great deal of fatigue as a very close friend of mine suffers. I would suggest asking on this fb group as I know one of the ladies that runs it and they are always more than happy to offer advice and support x https://www.facebook.com/groups/165509533641803/

People say a HRM but for some reason my Polar gives a WAAY higher calorie burn than the machine (often by 100 or more calories), so i tend to go with machine.
-
I always pop my weight and age in the machines at the gym :) It does seem the lower seems more accurate, give i'm currently 64kg/142 lbs

Nothing as hard core as you guys but i'm digging out my bike to ride the 6 mile round trip to work everyday. In theory i should burn 260-300 calories a day doing it.

I know that things like the Polar ft4 can be used for swimming. It's a HR monitor but i believe it also has a calorie burning function too.

For me to lose a lbs a week due to working an office job, i would be on 1200 calories a day. However i just reduced the amount i wanted to loose, so i can still enjoy my food but shift that weight. (I'm currently 147 and 5ft 4in)

Wow that is an awesome Indie, you look perfect.

Just discovered this thread! I'm aiming to lose around 20lbs for London Expo in May for my current cosplays (lycra is VERY unforgiving). I'm not sure if anyone else has tried this but using the soundtrack to the cosplay as a motivator when working out. Really forces me to focus on what i'm aiming for.

Yup, i can normally grab a small part of the fridge

Anyone got any advice?

Yea I may have to hide the scale for a little bit lol. Also over the last week I've started adding more protein to my diet, hitting about 80-110g a day. I do some muscle work but I probably need to look into some more really. I feel a forum search coming on lol.

Normally I do... funny how a simple slip can do that. Still on the other hand maybe my body needed it because i'm on the cusp of a plateau. I probably need to drop my loss to 0.5lb a week now that i'm only 5lbs from my target

Thanks for the advice guys. It looks like we might be going to majorca now but not the Palma side. With the exception of a couple of people in my group most seem to like more traditional foods, so hopefully I can eat mainly grilled chicken or fish (being careful of sauces though). I am also surpringly tempted with the idea…

Just finished my glorious time. I couldn't even find the strength to exercise for several days but I continued to count my calories, making a little space for a sweet treat every evening when I knew the cravings would kick in. Having just jumped on the scales this morning I realised that I somehow lost 2lbs. In short don't…

Thanks guys, I may just keep it as the higher option then so I've taken into account bits of wing, thigh etc

I was in the exact same boat. In the end the doctor changed my tablets and now I'm starting to work off the pill fat. The natural feel good factor of finally doing exercise is an added bonus lol. Good luck xx

*thumbs up for the Pratchett reference* I guess in reality it's just about learning to adapt to a new way of eating. I overcame mine by eating slower ^^

Love bananas, they are nature's snack bars. Prepacked, individually wrapped and full of energy. That said I would NEVER eat 51... 2 is usually more than enough and that's on an active gym day...

Sorry did I read that you were 19? I wouldn't be aiming for anything as low as 121 if I were you because believe it or not your body is still growing and developing. Yes, feel free to shift a little bit of the weight if it makes you happy but please be realistic. The fact that you use the term 'disgusted' when you are a…

I tend to be in a similar situation. I work in a supermarket, so some days i will spend sitting on a till but others i'll be moving heavy stock around the store. To sort of balance it out i picked light active and it seems to be about right so far.
