You are not getting the most you can out of your workouts if you are only eating 1200 calories. Also, are you weighing your food? It is shocking when you start weighing things out, the difference in what you a serving size is, and what you think it is.

This is what I am talking about! I do the same thing! I think that working out in the morning or taking a walk, does sort of set the tone for the day. I am still in school, but I am thinking that I will try to eat later in the day, like a 16:8 intermittent fasting schedule.

I have been really trying to get the gym for cardio and strength training, but lately my kids schedule paired with mine have made it difficult. One thing that I did not realize is how much exercise can positively effect blood sugar. I noticed that on the days that I exercised but ate the same thing as days I did not, my blood sugars were much better. I asked my doctor about it and she said that when you exercise, you cells actually work better. Who knew?

Meal planning will be key. I have done intermittent fasting in the past, nothing drastic, 16:8 and that has helped be stay in a calorie deficit.
