Hey everyone,

starting this journey in a rocky place. Got diagnosed with CSF a couple weeks ago. Now I have been feeling as if I should take control over my life. My therapist always says make life happen for you not to you. As I have always let like happen to me I am ready to have it happen for me.

I have decided to do a weight loss/muscle building program with this app. Today was not a great day in my food diary but I am hoping reaching out helps.

How did you all start your first day of fitness and better food choices?

    Take your time. Don't try to make too many drastic changes all at once. Maybe you focus on food the first week, and add some exercise the next week. If you mess up, that's ok, it does not have to derail you for the whole day. At least the 1st week, don't weigh yourself every day. You've got this !

    I started with just tracking calories - didn’t worry about macros and didn’t workout at all - however in hindsight I would have started a strength training program at the same time - just to preserve muscle during a the weight loss phase - even when its just a simple at home calisthenics program - you can youtube google that - and just aim to get at least 2 workouts a week and build from there . It does t Matter where you start just start - if you have a bad day shake it off and get back at it the next day don’t wait til Monday lol - Progress comes from consistency not perfection- don’t beat yourself up over slip ups aging just get back at it the next day. Eventually it will become a lifestyle - if you listen to podcast find some health and fitness pods you like - for me the more I started learning the more I became willing to change my habits and pursue a healthier lifestyle - watching my parents age not so gracefully was a big eye opener as well - anyway like I said just start with something there is no right answer
