Ditto! Although I log daily.

Would it be considered a low carb option with a net of 9 carbs?
-
That is 13 carbs and 4 fiber for a net of 9. 31g of protein and 24g of fat.

I am lowish carbs (75) and counting calories (1900 is what I'm allowed, and I'm always under). I can have anything I want, as long as it fits in my numbers. :) In the last 6 days that I've been tracking, I've lost 3lbs. Still water weight at this point, but hey, a loss is a loss. :)

I know I'm not doing what I'm supposed to be doing, when I don't weigh. It's like burying my head in the sand....nevermind how tight the jeans are getting....if I'm not SEEING the number rise, I can pretend it's not. I am weighing daily again, just like logging my food. I have to. It keeps me honest and on track.

I had my gallbladder out last year. I've had diarrhea since. Heck, I had it before too. BUT, surprisingly I figured out that gluten was a big trigger for me. I'm not gluten free by any means, but since I cut bread and pasta out of my diet, I feel sooooo much better. I always thought it was the fat that was causing me…

I took phentermine for a long time. Yes, I lost a lot of weight, over 100lbs. I had good intentions of "staying on track" and keeping the weight off. Yeah, that didn't work out so well. I gained it ALL back....and now I'm doing it the old fashioned way. Watching what I eat, tracking my meals etc. And guess what? I'm almost…

Normally I would make my own and not add salt, or at least limit it. But it's dance night....thus, quick dinner.

I'm not avoiding it, or trying to reduce it persay, so much as stay within my daily limit. And since I will be over, if I eat the chicken according the food database, I was just wondering about how much sodium I could cut by not eating the skin. I've still had plenty of sodium. Like everything else, I'm sure you can have…

Because according to my daily limits, I am way over. I'm not retaining water or anything, heck if anything, I'm drinking more because of it. I don't personally have heart issues, but it does run in my family, so it's just something I'm keeping in the back of my mind. Surely the sodium in a chicken breast with minimal skin…

Nope. It's how it is. They don't want to sugar coat it and tell it like it is. They don't want to make you feel good about your choices, excuses etc. They will tell you if you are doing it wrong (in their eyes). No ifs and or big butts about it. :(

I am getting ready to get mine out. I started trying to loose weight a few months ago, but haven't stuck with it the last couple of months, and now this. I am already sensitive to fatty/fried foods, so I am a little worried about how my body is going to react. I am hoping it will help me get back on track. I NEED to get…

Find something that will help satisfy your need for chocolate. Check the calories. Then have how ever much you can that will keep you within your calories for the day. Yesterday for me was a peanut butter chocolate chip muffin. A big one. Under 300 calories. It was bad for my blood sugar, but sometimes you gotta do what…

Congrats!!!! It's an amazing feeling and I can't wait to join you!!

I started out with a goal of 135lbs @ 10lbs per month. I hit just over 11lbs my first month with I think is a very reasonable loss given my size.
-
A Sunday stroll does not burn as many calories as a brisk walk. But that Sunday stroll still burns more calories then sitting on the couch. So yes, walking alone will help you lose weight, as long as you are eating at a deficit. Heck, you can lose weight and not move a muscle if you eat at a deficit, but I wouldn't advise…

I don't want to die. And that is where I was headed. Maybe not next week, or next month. But that was the path I was on. And damn it, I'm not going out like that!! My Dad passed away last year from heart disease. He was skinny, but the years of bad eating combined with genetics eventually did him in. I'm at high risk of…

It's all I've done to this point, but I'm only a month in. Well, that and dance around the house, clean, jump on the trampoline etc...just generally get your body moving. Is it enough to be toned? I doubt it. But it's a great starting point. I do plan on adding some weights, but right now my focus is getting this weight…

Welcome! I'm 44, 5'11" and started out right at 300. I was devastated to see that number. But it was the kick in the rear I needed to realize I couldn't keep abusing my body the way I had been. Eventually, it would kill me. A month or so ago, I made the decision that I needed to make a change. I needed to find my new…

http://healthyliving.msn.com/health-wellness/7-side-effects-of-drinking-diet-soda Up until a month ago, I was consuming up to 32oz of coke zero/diet coke 3-4 days a week. I quit, not because of the article, but because I wanted, no...I needed to get healthier. I have tried drinking a diet pop 2x since quitting and no…

As a result of this thread, I found a new recipe. Tried it tonight with a few modifications and it was sooooo good! Plus it has 10 grams of fiber per serving. Is that good for a side dish? It is a black bean/corn/avo salad. I am at 22 grams of fiber for the day....
-
Me too. :( I'm need to read up on foods that are higher in fiber and eat some daily. I'm always under. :(
-
Because some people here don't believe in giving up anything. They just work it into their calories. If it fits, they eat it.
-
If we had siggies, I would steal this. I love it!

I set my target at 2lbs per week, the max they recommend...but with what I have to lose, I can afford to be aggressive in the beginning. :) The biggest help for me was buying a scale. I measure EVERYTHING. :) Logging everything has been very important. I love the recipe tool. :) Nice to know where I can afford to splurge.…

Feel free to add me (but send an intro, I don't accept without intros). I'm 5'11", 44, with 6 kids (4 at home). I have been logging for 1 month and have lost 11.2lbs. Still have 125 or so to go. I'm not looking at the 125...but 10lbs at a time. Much easier to attack that monster! :)

I was suggesting to eat breakfast since it appears she is struggling with getting enough calories. I've had days of 1000 calories, but I try not to let it be my norm. Everything that I'm being told on here is that no one should be eating 1200 day, let alone less on a consistent basis.
-
You may not be able to control what goes into it, but you can control your portions. So watch those and don't worry about the rest. It's one day. Though I confess, I'm terrified of making the kids Easter baskets. Now that I'm prediabetic, munching away at the kids chocolate may not be the best thing for me!! LOL
-
I am by no means an expert, but some of the things that stood out to me is #1, you are not eating enough...seems counterproductive huh? But you do need to eat more to fuel the body. #2 - I would quit skipping breakfast if I were you. And #3, you don't eat hardly any protein. By adding both of those, you will get closer to…
