I have strawberries AND grapes in my fridge! Yummy!

Haven't had one in over 3 weeks. This thread is just cruel! LOL

Welcome Lorah!! Be forewarned, you will be slammed and beaten for your post by the guru's...you can't be addicted to food and you shouldn't eat 1200 calories. Put your waders on and be prepared. :) Hope they don't run you off. Some of the guru's can be pretty hard to handle. That said, weigh your food, log it. Find out…

It was steak, red bell pepper and onion fajitas. I made 2 small soft tacos with salsa fresca and sour cream. 2 bites of refried beans. A few bites of my daughters nachos. And of course chips & salsa, plus a few dipped in white queso. Had an unsweet tea with one pink "sugar" packet.

Eating one is not going to cause harm, no. But box after box? Yeah, I am going to say it is unhealthy. I think whoever compared it to an alcoholic hit the nail on the head. For many people, food is their drug. Some food groups more than others. You wouldn't tell an alcoholic to have 1 beer and expect them to be OK with it.…

Making poor choices when it comes to eating, regardless of being at a deficit, will eventually catch up to you. Some of us are trying to prevent a heart attack or other catastrophy from years of bad choices, in addition to lose weight. You go right ahead shoveling your Twinkies in. It will eventualy catch up to you. Up…

Yep, legs are fine! Thanks Doc!

No pain, but tightness. And yes, there was some discoloration...red and white. Color is back to normal.I have been back about 40 minutes. I would say things improved within minutes of getting home and sitting down.
-
They are almost back to normal. I will mention it to my doc at my next appt on 4/21. Yes, I was swinging my arms. I am prediabetic with high cholesterol. BP is pretty normal 127/83.
-
My own husband unintentionally tried to sabotage me last night! I came home to him cooking pancakes! I am prediabetic and really trying to watch my sugar intake and I haven't looked for a low sugar syrup yet! He also was making sausage and eggs....so I turned it on him and made the most delicious sausage & spinach omelet…

I'm a newb here, but so far have lost 9.4lbs which is actually more then what I was shooting for! Part of it was getting sick and water loss. But I've been keeping it off, so I'll take it. :) For ME, it's a lifestyle change. Not a diet. I have to live with my choices because my life depends on it. So I am cutting in areas…

Blech is right! I am thinking of adding grilled chicken to it and having it as a lunch!

I actually just watched a video about super foods yesterday from fullplateliving.org. Blueberries and avos are still on there. :) Matter of fact, I got a recipe from there that I had a side dish and it was AMAZING. Baby Spinach, Strawberries, Walnuts and light Raspberry Vinaigrette (Sp?!) dressing. Paired it with Shish…

YAY! That's pretty much what I'm trying to do. Well, about to start adding some weights. I do walk a few days a week, trying to add more. Only thing I'm not doing yet is a multivitamin. Are they are pretty equal?
-
I am not. I just didn't know if there is anything I can do along my journey to help limit the repercussions of losing so much weight.
-
That's not what I mean. I know a 165lbs body requires less calories to maintain then a 300lbs one. The article, as I understood it, said that if you lost significant amount of weight, it lowers your BMR to below that a normal BMR is for someone of equal size. That is what I'm trying to reduce/limit etc.
-
OK, this is what it says for my goal weight... BMR - 1498 Maintain (w/1-3 hours of exercise) - 2060 BUT, if that article I read is true, my actual BMR will be even lower due to losing so much of my body weight...not only once, but twice. And will remain lower for several years. Right now I eat anywhere from 1000 (ya ya, I…

I took pics yesterday too. But I'm not brave enough to share with the world! LOL Bravo to you! Welcome to the journey. I'm just 3 weeks in. It really is life changing and I can't wait to see what the future has in store!
-
When I lost my weight before, the best way to end a plateau was to eat MORE for a couple of days. Not twinkies mind you! Just more good for you food!
-
I can't wait to be able to work out more so that I can bump my calories up! Not that I'm hungry mind you, but I do watch every little calorie. Most days I'm 1300-1400, but I've been everywhere from 1000 to 1600. I've lost 8lbs in about 3 weeks. My goal is 2lbs a week, so I'm ahead, but I did get sick which accounts for…

Thank you. I have my inspiration and motivation! I am on fire! But this was a little water on my fire. :( And no, I didn't go get ice cream. Didn't even have that 2nd glass of wine. If anything it has made me more determined. I am just mad at myself for letting things get this out of control before doing something about it.

44yrs, 5'11". SW: 300 :( Highest EVER....tight 20, should be 22, but I refused! CW: 292.4...20's getting more comfy. GW: 165....should be a 10/12, which I haven't seen in 18yrs. I got close once, got under 200lbs taking phentermine, but failed to maintain on my own. Gained it all back plus 10lbs....and less muscle.....NOT…

Yep, because apparently tall people can't be fat! Even Lane Bryant sucks in their tall section. Someone could make a fortune on cute plus size tall clothes!
-
You can eat 1400 calories of doritos, ice cream and brownies. But I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be healthy, regardless of it being a deficit!
-
P.S. And don't go on a diet. Diets are temporary. So is the weight loss, trust me, I speak from experience. You have to find a new forever. So if you choose to eliminate something from your diet, you have to be honest if it's something you do FOREVER. If not, and you do back to eating the way you did before, your weight…

Can you afford a cloth measuring tape? Use that to track your measurements. And just get weighed at the doctor every so often. I bet they'd let you come in 1x a month to do a weight check without an appointment or charging you. Just ask. :) Otherwise, don't worry about it!

It's easy for skinny people to say, it's easy, just eat less. Honestly, I'm sick of seeing that. It's NOT easy. If it were easy do you think we'd be fat?!?! You can't eat what ever and lose weight. Not and do it in a healthy way. And when you have a LOT to lose, you can't just exercise it away. It takes time. You have to…
