I went to a shoe store that specialized in running shoes. They had me walk and run on a treadmill and they also had me stand on this thing to check my arches. And they based my shoe on how my foot landed when walking, running, and standing.....try and look for a store like that in your area.

A while ago when I got my fit assesment that is what the trainer taught me to do. Did my own research and talk to other certified trainers. Came out to be true. And I have been doing this ever since.:happy:

Oddly enough it can actually make you gain weight or maintain. You will trick the body to think its starving so it will hold on to the fat.
