  • Maybe check your scale to make sure batteries aren't low? I almost always have some small fluctuation, like .1-.5 or so in either direction, so I get why you think it's weird!
  • I have the same breakfast nearly every single day, and the same rotation of 4-5 things for lunch. Dinners vary due to a meal service I subscribe to- but only the three dinners a week they send me, haha. The other 4 nights are a rotation of the same 4-5 things. I have my grocery store routine down pat. I will say I do…
  • No advice because I loathe waking up before 8am BUT I just wanted to say that caring about not leaving your pets for extended periods of time is not lame at all- it's always nice to see a pet owner who takes caring for their animals seriously. Good luck!
  • I use a Fitbit to track my steps, not my iPhone, but this has happened to me with the Fitbit- it could be a synching problem. Sometimes I have to close out the MFP app and the Fitbit app, then reopen. Double tap the circle button on your iPhone- it will bring up all open apps, then swipe up on the app you want to close…
  • 60 minutes of hot yoga and 10,274 steps on my Fitbit!
  • My main form of exercise is walking, and according to my Fitbit I typically get between 10,000-17,000 steps a day, with the occasional 5,000 step Sunday or high day like today where I got just over 20,000. About a month ago I started doing yoga on Tuesdays and Thursday's, which I am really enjoying.
  • My first goal is 150, which for me is in the middle of a healthy BMI range and a size 6/8 as well as the weight that I have been for most of my adult life, other than the 2 times I gained 20 lbs. I am happy with how I look and feel at this weight. My next goal is 145, which I was for about a year when I was 23 and LOVED…
  • I just want to wish you well- others have already posted great advice.
  • Totally- I have been 2-3 lbs from my goal weight for like 2 months! I am fully aware that I can lose those last 2-3 lbs, I just need to eat a bit less. My issue is that I am not unhappy with how I look, and I feel good in my clothes, so I am not super motivated to be in a deficit. That being said, I am very motivated to…
  • You also could eat at your maintainence calories for the day- I believe if you have MFP set to lose 1lb per week, that's an extra 500 calories! You won't lose as much this week, but you won't gain, either. You could definitely enjoy a treat for 500 calories- log it, then move on and go back to a deficit tomorrow.
  • I wear a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen and lip balm every day, but no mascara/eyeshadow/blush etc. I just keep a pack of makeup removing cleansing wipes in my bag and wipe it off before I work out. If I keep it on it gets all over my yoga mat when I sweat or put my face/head on the mat.
  • Just FYI you may want to aim for an 8 or a 10- 9 is a juniors size (3,5,7,9 etc are juniors, 2,4,6,8 etc are women's). Juniors sizes aren't really cut to fit an adult woman's body. Assuming you live somewhere where that applies. Either way, good luck and congrats to the O.P.!

  • I think rewarding yourself is a good idea, especially in the beginning as you are trying to establish habits. I bought myself a new workout top or leggings each time I lost 5 lbs for the first 10lbs the 20lbs I want to lose. Now I'm kind of over it, and when I got to 15lbs lost I didn't really want anything so I just…

  • I like it when it is in the pre portioned bags. Quick easy snack.
  • My best advice is don't stop logging- even if you completely blow your day, just log it. I stopped logging once and didn't log again for 6 months and I gained almost all the weight I lost back. Now I log every day and I've lost everything again plus an additional 7 lbs. Even if there are days where I'm not sure exactly…
  • I deleted my Facebook about 8 years ago- you can do it! You might find you don't even really miss it after awhile.
  • I totally get it! I don't see much of a difference when I look in the mirror. I KNOW I've lost about 18 lbs when I stand on the scale, and I KNOW that I am fitting easily into jeans that I couldn't get past my thighs 6 months ago, but I don't really see it. I do feel much better though, and getting dressed in the morning…
  • My favorite thing about MFP is you don't have to exercise to lose weight. I think your main issue is the inconsistent logging- I know you said you mostly do, but if you don't have a huge deficit you have to be pretty accurate about it. I lost all my weight (just under 18 lbs so far) with no exercise other than walking.…
  • My boyfriend and I have lost weight together, so he knows. I weigh myself first thing in the morning and if I lost I usually text him at work about it. He probably gets annoyed by it, actually. Maybe I should adopt a bit of your method and keep it to myself, haha. Way to go on the weight loss, btw!
  • Skinnypop! Individual serving bags 100 cals.
  • Corner Bakery Cafe Size Chopped Salad- 460 cals and SO yummy. Comes with a little roll that is 100 cals, according to their nutrition information.
  • Like others have said, I don't keep anything that I would want to mindlessly snack on in the house. I have food, but nothing that I have a problem just having one serving of. If you are actually hungry, maybe try saving some calories for an after dinner snack or changing your calories to lose at a slower pace so you can…
  • Someone once told me that the only exercise you need to do to lose weight is to push your chair back from the kitchen table. Lol. I've lost 18 lbs so far just by calorie counting and the walking I do as a part of my job/daily life (12,000-17,000 steps most days). I actually am just starting to take yoga 2x a week, but as…
  • I plan to keep tracking because the act of having to actually add the item/calories into MFP is my way of determining if I really want to eat something, or if it isn't worth the calories. If I don't see the calories in the item, it's so much easier to just say whatever and eat it. It's a huge self control tool for me. It…
  • You look like Katy Perry now- so gorgeous!
  • You look so much younger! I like the darker hair as well. Great job!!
  • You look great and I LOVE your haircut.
  • It will most likely come off significantly faster at first but then slow down. I had less to lose, 20-25 lbs, but it came off faster in the beginning for me too. Now that I'm down to my last 4 lbs (or 9, if I don't like how I look when I lose the 4) it is coming off much more slowly. But, I'm either maintaining or losing…
