I am watching myself lose control. It is getting worse and worse. This is the first time that I have had so much awareness of the downwards spiral as it happens, trying to fight but not having the will to fight. I am getting to the point of realising that this is bigger than previous challenges when I could bounce back. I…

So every day I decide to try and every day (So far) I fail. I just have to get back into it. I know that I can do this.

I hate that my old clothing that I was fitting back into is now tight. As of right Now, I am going to change. I am absolutely determined and when I make up my mind I follow through. Until now I didn't have this determination but from now everything is going to change and I am going to lose the weight I have recently gained.

Yhanks @WifiresGettingFit. You are right. Just keep moving forward. Another failed day. Same as before. I care, but not enough At least I care enough and want it badly enough to post here.

And another day of over eating. I want to control it but not badly enough to make an effort when there is food in front of me. Today for the first time in a long time I at to the point of being physically uncomfortable for about an hour after my meal. And I wasn't even particularly regretting it. I just have to get back on…

Now that's certainly a plus side !

Glad things are doing better with your husband. Sounds like the weight is going well :)

I did really well for about a month. Was very focused and slowly losing weight. About 10 days ago I started to lose focus. I kept trying to get back on track but couldn't do it. So I know that I have to be here for now. This is what I need to do to get back to healthy eating. Also my job has become more sedentary so I am…

So just when it starts to get easy it suddenly all gets hard. After several days of over eating last week, I am not taking my wallet with me when I go out because I dont trust myself to be around shops. This has been working for the last few days but I can still feel that if I did have my wallet with me I would be buying…

15k. that's awesome !!! Life sometimes takes unexpected turns than can really hit us hard. Your husband seems to really love you and is very lucky to have you. It sounds like he is trying to show you that. Whether you're wanting to lose weight for yourself, your husband, your daughter or all 3, slow and steady really is…

I have noticed that this is gradually getting easier (though not easy !). Smaller meals and turning down some treats (while accepting others) is somehow becoming less of an effort. This means that I am no longer 'on guard', and today that was my down fall. I felt like eating and then I felt like a bit more. So I did. not…

Sounds like a fabulous day. I would have gone over, too .

Still getting by ok  thanks for asking.

Great to see you back  Glad that you are starting to feel better - hope you get to the bottom of it all.

thankyou @WifiresGettingFit @tcunbeliever

Sending you best wishes :)

Not sure why you are struggling to measure calories but http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2537130/Portion-sizes.html someone recommended in my journal using my hand to measure portion sizes (it might even have been you !) I find it very helpful.

@WifiresGettingFit thank you ! An Ununexpected celebration at work and I ate a few days worth of calories in just a few hours. I knew exactly what I was doing and just didn't care enough to stop. On the plus side I bounced back effortlessly and immediately to my usual state of 'this is hard but I can do it'. I am really…

Did you make it to the gym ? ;)

The last few days have been good.

Two habits that I know work 1. Keep updating my journal here. 2. Weigh myself At leat these keep me accountable.

Losing the weight has been much harder this time because i haven't been as active. Also it hasn't been practical to weigh my food. Although i have a better knowledge of the calories in food, it has been like the old (pre-mfp) days where I just tried to eat less. Although I have managed to find eating plans that worked it…

I just looked back on my weight records: In May 2016 after losing over 80 pounds on mfp and maintaining for over a year, my bmi was 21. I injured myself which affected how active I could be. I then stopped watching what I was eating. I gained about 40 pounds and in may 2017 my bmi was 28. I came back to mfp and lost a few…

I feel worn out just reading about your day - can totally understand skipping the combat.

3 year olds sure are hard to say no to. Congrats on hitting your goal and enjoy the time with your family.

OMG what a cake ! It's food like that that make me wish I didn't know about calories. I could definitely celebrate Thursdays with that one.

Love the silver linings at the end of your last post - sometimes it helps to get the whines out, and that sounds like quite a day ! I totally understand what you mean by working well in a routine. I'm good at following 'rules'. even if they are rules that I set myself. But when I have too many choices I tend not to make…

I guess that you must be home by now - hope the scale is friendly. My last few months have been really busy but I've been popping backing here whenever I could to update my journal. Now that I have a bit more time, its easy for me to come back to posting regularly because I never really left. I guess what I'm saying is…

Thats great that keto(ish) is working well for you. I hadn't heard that it can be helpful for migraine sufferers but I just googled it and there seems to be some data out there. I will be passing it onto a friend who suffers from migraines quite a bit. Seeing what he goes through, I think he would be willing to change his…

life is slowing. yay ! The habits I developed are sticking and I continue to be on plan. double yay ! (is that a thing ?)
