Thanks for bringing that to my attention, what would you suggest for a chest exercise that I could add? I was counting the push ups as the additional chest exercise, but that still kind of leaves it lopsided.

I know of lots of people that use supplements.. Surely they can't all be wrong? Anyways, thanks to everyone for their opinions. I have decided to stick with Fish Oil, Protein Powder, BCAA's, Multi Vitamin, Apple Cider Vinegar, and Glucosamine ( for my joints.. Bad knees)

If i havent worked out in awhile I get the same numbness in my feet when I start back at the gym. Eventually it stops happening. But ya, It has always puzzled me also.

Your body needs more time to prepare for a long run, Half marathon- or Full. If you went into a half marathon without the recommended 12 weeks of training than your risk of injury is high. I would say, start training now- you can find various programs online- and run a half marathon in the summer or fall.

Take care of your knee first! That's the best advice that I have for you. Take it easy, no jumping, no box jumps, squats, etc. I have had 3 knee surgeries.. stemming from one basketball injury- and it's not fun. I have always been very active in sports, and it took me years to get back to where I was- so , take the time and…

Running on a treadmill is boring as ****, I agree with you. But yet, it needs to happen. So for me, I like to change up my runs by adding in sprints here and there. I set the speed up so that I am full out sprinting for about 30seconds- to a minute, and then off for 30 seconds. Sprints actually help to burn more fat than…

Jamie Eason's Live Fit Trainer is a great program- whether you are a beginner or a vet. It's 12 weeks, tens of thousands of women have done it, and it's free. I lost 12 inches when I did it, and I really didn't have much to lose in the first place. Goodluck!…

I have a gym membership so I do have full access to weights

I would be content with a size 4. I'm a size 6-8 now, depending on brand.

Thank you to everyone for the input, although it will only be once a week, I'm going to do full body work outs and hopefully will see some results. Also to answer someone's question about how labour intensive my job actually is- I'm on my feet all day, lots of walking, lots of lifting. I break out in a full on sweat a few…

Not really.. I am up at 4:20am- home from work at 7pm, play with my dog, cook dinner, sleeping by 8:30pm.

Well I do portion out my food ( measuring cups and/or scale) and really only drink water, and one black coffee in the morning. Ugh. Maybe I'm just being impatient. I'll give it another few weeks.
-
It's been 3 weeks, but I was active before this job- so this extra 12 hrs a day of physical labour I thought would just be a bonus and help with weight loss. I am tracking my inches too but haven't checked lately maybe I will do that. Any other opinions?
-
No I didn't log any flights of stairs, as I didnt climb many.my entire day is spent outside
-
Hmm, well both days I didn't have a dedicated "active time" , didn't go for a run or the gym. Both days just working , doing the same thing more or less. I work a labour intensive job on the pipeline 13 hours a day.

Today is not over here yet, 1more hour to go.

Thanks for the insight! Would like to hear from a few more people :)

I used to hold onto the handrails a few years ago when I first started using the treadmill. It was for balance/peace of mind because I have had a few knee surgeries and I didn't completely feel comfortable. Things have obviously changed since then, but to each their own- everyone is different.
