Totally not diet related, but health related. I started going to therapy again. Had my second session today, and actually allowed myself to cry. That's enormous for me. Like so astronomically unlike myself. I look forward to making sure my mind is just as healthy as my body is gradually becoming.

I recommend net for keto. You can often eat up to 50g total carbs a day and still be under your 25net if you choose the right veggies. I bumped up my carbs recently and am staying closer to 100g total carbs, 140 total being a hard upper limit.

Interesting. RDA seems like a teeny tiny amount of protein. Is there a solid recommendation for protein needs for someone like me? (tall, desk job, regular intense exercise).

I am 5'11 and typically read around 36% BF. That typically comes out to around 140 - 160lb LBM.

Is 100g of protein better, and up the fat to fill out the calories? I have no idea what I'm doing.

I've heard it should be .8g - 1g of LBM. My LBM is around 160lb. The 120g of protein I came up with is .75g/lb of LBM. If this isn't the best way to calculate, please do let me know. I'm happy to adjust - that's a ton of protein :mrgreen:

Pay more attention to the color of your pee. If it's appropriately light or clear, don't worry about the scent - that just means you've likely dropped into ketosis on those lower carb days.

Those of us who are in ketosis may often have smelly urine. It's very normal.
