Not many from Manchester here, hello from the North

Love the support in this thread, I would also love more connections on here - we're in this together

Hi girls, YES to connecting with more of you and extra support  I came back to MFP recently after I realised I've been eating wayyyy to much and not losing any weight. My biggest goal is that 25 inch waist - my belly is definitely something I want to work on. At my worst my waist was 30 inches, now I'm slowly…

Hi everyone, Love this thread  I came back to MFP after years of 'winging it' and last week I tracked my calories for a day and it was a massive reality check - and finally, it revealed a secret to why I haven't been able to lose weight all this time  Feel free to add me - I need more friends and support.…

I get that every night too, it really stops me from losing as much weight as I want to, but I always try to have tea or fruit before bed. Even an egg sandwich will do the trick sometimes.

If cardio's not for you, have you tried circuit training? Basically you can just do 10jumping jacks, lift water bottles or jars, try to do 3 pushups and repeat it. It's not about being perfect on the first day, it's better for your muscles to gradually grow, so repeating reps is definitely motivational but good for your…

Weekends are when it all goes wrong for me :( If it's a nice weather I'll try to go for a walk and generally distract myself, hope everyone gets on alright :)

I struggled with BED for years, I've only managed to gain control of it last year. With binging yes you can lose weight if you really try but telling yourself you can't have something will make you want it more and then you'll binge and gain again it's a vicious cycle. Why do you binge? Is it you restricted calories too…

I'm in! :D How much are you looking to lose and what's your plan of action? Should we have a weigh-in every week or so? :)) x

I've always had android phones but I wanted a good camera phone as my dslr can be really heavy, I got a Nokia Lumia 1020 and I can tell you Windows is not that bad as they say. You have all the apps you used before, it's easy to use, and I know it's only applicable to this model but the camera is fantastic! :) Only…

Aside the 1,200 comments, I can tell you that I've been in your situation many times and trust me, in a week or two of trying to reach the target, you will get close to it. This might help you, I have a colour-coded graph of my calorie intakes. When I tracked everything even on binges, I could clearly see how much I…

** Just noticed the date of this thread.

I tried this a few years ago and didn't succeed, I was deep into extreme binge eating, but now I have come to eat somewhat normally. I didn't start it on purpose this time, but I have one day a week when I only eat breakfast and a tiny snack. For others it might not work but it's helped me extremely with recognising hunger…

Definitely any zumba dvd or game will get you in shape, dancing is way more fun than Shred. Also, Denise Austin and Shaun T. You can find some of their workouts on youtube before you buy the DVDs', Denise's kickboxing and ultimate fat burner are amazing, I do them quite often and it's always a challenge. You can find…

I'm an ex-binger, I used to eat everything (and anything) in my house. What worked for me after years of struggle was focusing on work, friends and a new found hobby. I didn't tell anyone because I felt too embarrassed but support might be that push you need to motivate yourself. Make sure you log all you eat on binges, it…

Congratulations everyone and I have to say, my weight has been the same for years, thank you so much for this challenge!! :)

I agree it's a great read, visualising the feeling after exercise has definitely helped me make it a habit.

Brian Tracy, Jack Canfield and Paul McKennas' works have honestly changed my life it's all about changing how you think, I'm currently reading Brian Tracy's Power of Discipline and so far I feel like I've just been given an eye-opening secret to being more successful. You can check out their talks on youtube before reading…

The Book Thief The Art of Happiness (Dalai Lama) No excuses: power of self-discipline by amazing Brian Tracy (a must)

I second it, I laughed and cried throughout the whole book, it's not the most 'crushing' story but worth a read.

Hi Kagome84 I can see you're our team leader nice to meet you! :) I have no idea what everyone else's plan is but I strongly recommend this site http://neilarey.com/workouts.html it has tons of workouts, I do 'Dailyburn' every day and it is h.a.r.d! I think the key to sticking to a healthy routine is consistency and making…

Hi Joy I can see you're a yo-yo'er just like me! My weight hasn't budged for years so I'm aiming small. From what I can see, not everyone has actually recorded their starting weight but I hope we do well as a group. Team Navy! :)

Another ex-binger here, I understand completely what you're going through, I remember eating everything in my house with no control, only to be sick at night and get more angry with myself. I wouldn't know about therapy, I mean I wish I were that strong to admit it to my friends, but determining why you binge is the first…

For me it goes away with exercise but I was looking at Shake Weight last night, they're like dumbbells but lighter and you shake them :)
-
I did his total body videos before I got a flu and loved it, it was the only workout when my ab muscles were sore :) I think I overdid the tilt though and my back hurt afterwards, but it's definitely in my workout plan :)

Porridge and cereals :O I used to eat bowls of porridge with muesli but then found out how much 50g really is O.o

Welcome to MFP! :D Change is good :) Good luck!

Hi :) I'm 139 and 5'5, I'm hoping to get anywhere lower than 138 as I've been stuck with this weight for years. I battled binge eating and I take any chance to exercise. I'm nearing towards the end of 30 Day Shred, hope to move on to Ripped!
