I just did 45 minutes on treadmill and burned 500 calories. I was hauling butt at the end too. That seems like a lot of calories.

sounds like severe muscle strain. but I'm no expert. Rest a day in between workouts. Your workouts sound extreme so your body needs time to heal too.

2 weeks after eating correctly and working out. Lost 5 pounds and that was 4 months ago. I haven't looked back. Each month is a little improvement and that keeps me going.

I did the same thing sunday. My first time too. kept the heart rate at a steady 135. Took a little over an hour. Felt great afterwards like I accomplished something. Actually looking forward to doing it again this sunday.

Thats pretty much how I do it. I actualy eat better at work, every 2-3 hrs than I do on my days off. It takes some time preparing meals, but it can be done. I usually do lighter workouts, 3 exercises per muscle group while working and increase to 4 or 5 exercises on my days off. One day weights, the next day cardio.

How long did you train before running your first 5k? I registered for my first one in june.

My spin class is 45 minutes to an hour. Which is just the right amount of time I think. I believe I read the biggest loser contestants spend 2 to 2 1/2 hrs in the gym when at camp, which is why they gain weight back when they return home. They are not able to put that amount of time in back in regular life.

In the marines, they always said do at least 20 minutes of exercise a day. I told my trainer I was getting used to the treadmill and was going to up my run time from 35 minutes to 60 minutes. He asked why. He said 35 minutes at the correct heart rate was better for burning fat.
