great post. I made 2 resolutions for this year. #1 is get a 6 pack. I'm still working on that one. #2 is run a 5k. I signed up for one in june. Life is a marathon, not a sprint. A little improvement every day..

Try going to an island sometime. Oh boy. I could just picture the natives thinking "look at the fat pale american". My wife has the pictures hanging up in the living room. I look every once in a while. I'm glad they're next to the treadmill. Extra motivation.

Just forget about it and enjoy spring break. You'll come back happy and motivated. You won't gain too much in a week. Live life, you only have so many spring breaks. Exercise and dieting can wait a week or 2.

I found this site 3 days ago and was amazed at the extra calories I was consuming just by snacking. almonds, trail mix, donuts. once you see the bad numbers, calories, fat, on your chart, you feel better avoiding those foods. One good size healthy meal every 2 hrs is a lot better than snacking on garbage.

I've worked night shift, 10pm to 7:30 AM for 16 years now. 8 nights on then 6 off. My eating is all screwed up. Thanks for the info. I disagree with #16, lifting heavier weights at fewer reps burns more fat. I think more reps at lower weights build more lean muscle, which will burn more fat in the long run.
