Potato chips are not junk. They meet every definition i know of "Clean" and are one of the best sources of potassium you can get your hands on. Oatmeal cookies are no "junkier" than a bowl of oatmeal with honey.

Yes - weigh and log everything, every time. Unless you do that you won't be able to determine if nuts or caramel apples are good snacks on any given day.

I believe it does nothing for calories. Started doing it after a bunch of nagging from a doctor to incorporate more" heart healthy" fats into my diet.

I've also heard that this can be exacerbated if the maker of the sound is someone close to you (emotionally) .. same sound from a random stranger might not set you off ...

Egg sandwiches take under 3 minutes to make - the longest part is toasting the english muffin. Microwave an egg in a bowl (under a minute) Slice of cheese Slice of canadian bacon Then I wait for the english muffin to finish toasting and assemble it. Under 300 cals

Steakhouses are one of the easiest restaurants to eat light .. 6 oz Filet mignon and Sauteed whatever veg they have can come in comfortably under 400 cals. That leaves plenty of room for a roll, a salad, and maybe even a bit of dessert

Olive oil is extracted from pressing. Canola oil is extracted by using hexane to dissolve the oil from the rapeseeds and then is evaporated out of the oil. I guess that poster has defined only cold pressed oils are clean, and hexane-extracted oils are not. Most oils from seeds (canola, sunflower, safflower, corn, et. al.)…

The problem we see here is that "clean eaters" get very dogmatic about it. You see things like yesterday regarding captain crunch - a clean eater told a very ripped gentleman that if he ate captain crunch he would never be able to win a fitness competition (or something along those lines) Someone in this thread posted that…
