  • I think it's pathetic that Bob is pedaling pills out there. It goes against everything he teaches on TBL. It's so sad to see. I think Jillian is making tons of money on her exercise plans, and he jumped on the band wagon. They're both losers, and not in the good way! Sorry, that's my rant. And just my opinion!
  • Maybe some yoga and pilates to help with posture, long lean muscles and tone. I agree about the bra fitting!
  • Congratulations! That's an awesome feeling. Great job!

  • WOW! You look incredible! I love those first shoes, or the 3rd. Either way, you are rockin' that dress! Congratulations!
  • I looked at your profile to see if you have a diary and noticed you are diabetic. Are you keeping up with your diabetes? Maybe your new diet/exercise routine is impacting your sugar levels. You sould definitely consult your doctor! Not something you want to mess around with. Fatigue is a symptom of many diabetes issues, so…
  • I love this idea! I'll have to try egg beaters. I do this with whole eggs and egg whites. There are so many variations you can use! And you can freeze them for quick grab-n-go breakfasts for the work week. Pop them in the microwave for a minute and ready to go. There are some you can make with cottage cheese too, for extra…
  • LOVE this idea of the canned pumpkin in the oats! WOO! I'm going to try that this weekend. Thanks for sharing!
  • That's fantastic!! You should definitely be feeling proud of yourself on that one! Great job
  • Sorry, losing 5 pounds in 2 weeks is NOT zero results! You're supposed to lose 1 pound a week. That's the healthy way, and studies show that's how you'll keep it off, for good. This is a very negative attitude to take towards this process! You have a lifetime of healthy living ahead of you, so make it a lifestyle for good.…
  • I used to follow South Beach Diet. Phase 1 of that is very similar to Atkins. There are some great low carb recipes on this website: www.kalynskitchen.com She's got some really creative ideas! Good luck with it.

  • I also agree about the calories! Maybe try setting your goals to 1 pound per week.
  • The Doctor's scale and your scale are probably different. Also, your weight fluctuates daily based on so many things. It could be related to your period, to eating too much salt, to changes in sleep, to just needing to visit the toilet! Don't stress over it. Pick 1 day per week, same time, same location, same clothing and…
  • This sounds AMAZING! I wonder how much more it would be with regular pudding mix? I can have the sugar free/sugar substitute stuff. Grrr!
  • Oh dear LORD people....please stop arguing on this girl's post! She needs help, not bickering back and forth from 2 schools of thought on exercise. To the poor OP....stick with it. Mix things up a bit and see what works best for your body and your lifestyle. The idea here is to find a way to make this work for you, for a…
  • Congratulations! You look fantastic and younger! Great job!
  • Phenomenal difference! You look 10 years younger!
  • AND....alcohol really hinders weight loss efforts. Not sure if you're a drinker or not, but going to the pub and drinking your calories can really halt your weight loss. It sucks, but it's true for many of us. I learned that the hard way! UGh.
  • I took a quick peek at your diary, and here are a few things to consider: 1. Are you drinking your full 8, 8oz glasses of water every day? (More if you exercise) 2. Are you weighing and measuring EVERY thing you eat? 3. Are you really tracking your food every day, or just thinking about it? Sometimes it's easy to forget…
  • If it's after your workout, but before dinner, why not get something like low-fat cheese sticks, mixed nuts, guacamole or hummus and cut up veggies, or something along those lines? You can also cook up some chicken breasts or fish and put them into single serve containers and freeze them. Make some brown rice, and steamed…
  • Ditto!! That's so awesome! Keep up the great work! And see? Right from the health professional's mouth! Hey, did you go to school in Manchester?
  • Those machines are so tedious. I use 'em, but I don't love 'em. However, I like hiking, biking, swimming, or just plain get out and walking! I think you need to add in the cardio for overall health. A lot of those body builders have intense strength, muscle mass, etc. But can they run a lap around the track without getting…
  • there are some great meal ideas on here: http://www.kalynskitchen.com/ She has a whole section on South Beach Diet low carb recipes and they are wonderful. Good luck!
  • I had to look up what Dory is! Ha. Sorry. But it's a flaky white fish right? You could do a nice cajun seasonin blend on that, spritz it with olive oil and broil it quickly, maybe 4 minutes each side. I had to Google it, so here is a tasty and easy sounding recipe I found:…
  • OH, and Pizza. *SIGH* Defininitely good tin-crust pizza. I just can't have my 1 slice and a salad and be satisfied. I must eat MORE.
  • Almost any snack item (Doritos, Salt and Vinegar Chips, Pirate's Booty, you name it!) and any cookies or sweet treats. I honestly can lose my control with almost any food item. It's horrible! It all depends on my mood. I try not to keep much "Junk food" in the house for that reason.
  • Salty/Savory: 1 corn tortilla, 1 oz reduced fat shredded Mexican blend cheese, 1 tsp salsa - microwave for 20 seconds, wrap and enjoy Smart Food single serve popcorn Wasa Cracker with laughing cow cheese spread on Sweet: Skinny Cow ice cream products! Love them
  • Truly inspirational! I have similar weight goals, so this is a major motivator for me! Thanks so much for sharing! Congratulations on your success. All that hard work paid off. You look incredible, younger, healthier, vibrant! WOO!
  • My favorite and most delicious indulgent recipe is this one: Broiled Tilapia Parmesan http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=75983 Serve with your favorite vegetables and YUM! It's nice over a bit of whole wheat pasta with fresh tomatoes and basil.
  • Just keep on moving! Walk all you can. Look for things like turkey legs or chicken kebabs. Lots of fairs have healthier options these days, so just keep it in mind as you walk through. But mostly, it's just one day! Enjoy yourself and have a great time. Back on track tomorrow with a little extra exercise. You'll do great!
