I am 40 months post-op! I had Gastric By-Pass. I decided to do this because I wanted to live, and not just sit back and watch others enjoy life. I didn't have to take any classes. I only had to lose 10% of my starting weight prior to surgery, while under the surgeons care. I did have to have a mental evaluation, and talk…

I use the military formula for my fat %. It goes by actual body measurements not just height and weight! According to that scale I am at 12.10% body fat. But I have a lot of loose skin, so it is really hard to determine what is what. All I know is weight and height don't mean squat for BMI. It does not take into account…

Loose skin....simply put, "it is what it is" I have to have cosmetic surgery to remove my loose skin from my abdomen. I exercise faithfully every day. I have for over two years.

I lost a lot of weight....I have loose skin, I am ashamed of my current body. I am repulsed looking at it myself, let a lone expecting someone else to look at it, and think wow, you are really sexy! I am not the same woman, I was at 252 lbs. I have a new attitude, new hopes, new dreams!

I gave them to people who also lost weight when I could. I also donated a lot to charity. In the early months of weight loss I bought a lot of clothes at thrift stores, just because there was no sense in spending a lot of money when I knew in another 4-6 weeks my current clothes would be way to big. I still shop at thrift…

Do you have access to video games? In my early days post surgical I had a few complications and couldn't do a lot of body movements. I resorted to my Wii, I played tennis, boxing and a few others all while sitting, I wore my HRM and you'd be surprised what kind of cardio you can get from a silly video game.
