Are you doing the Race for Life? I am too and am in the same boat. Do cardio at home in front of DVDs but am a bit scared about jogging 5k. Fruit isn't 'bad' but some fruits are high in sugar and calories. However, it is better to eat fruit than sweet things which contain saturated fat, so if you like fruit I would keep eating it. If you are within your calorie goal, don't worry too much about it. That's my opinion, anyway... some may disagree. x

I think your body would go into starvation mode, so you may not see a massive improvement. And psychologically, limiting yourself that much might not be helpful in the long run. It's only my opinion, but I would just stick to your normal plan, continue the great work you've been doing and give yourself a pack on the back…

It's high in protein but low in carbs. So for those on a low carb diet it can be a good choice as it fills you up and is nutritious.

I would suggest sticking to 1200 calories if you want results, but do some hard circuit training each day (DVD or with PT) which will boost the calories up to nearer 1500. I'd be interested in this too, I find the obsessive jumping jacks really uncomfortable and it puts me off doing the videos. Loved Davina's videos for this reason, and Tracy Anderson's Mat Workout is really good.

I do a similar thing, soaking the oats overnight instead of cooking them. I put 1 tbsp Quaker oats, 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk, 1 tbsp lemon juice and 2 tbsp water in a bowl and mix it.
