I guess there can be an exception

YOU GOTTA EAT BIG TO GET BIG CMON
-

-
Everybody else here basically said what I was going to Try bringing him for walks with you, and cooking healthier foods for him (assuming you're the one who does tho cooking) Me and my girlfriend are doing this together, try doing the same with your husband
-

-
thats how reality shows work Are you saying you didn't expect something like this?
-

MFP is amazing for counting calories with foods, but for exercising I've found it to be lacking. Try using Nike+ and see what that gives you for a simple run.
-
I could use some friends...
-
That's absolutely true But 30 minutes of cardio will burn less calories than 30 minutes of weight lifting
-
I linked the source in that last post if you missed it http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2010/02/01/what-burns-more-calories-cardio-intervals-or-weight-training/ http://www.livestrong.com/article/421082-weights-vs-cardio-your-guide-to-the-perfect-body/

I was told by my orthopedic doctor last week about this; I was surprised too http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2010/02/01/what-burns-more-calories-cardio-intervals-or-weight-training/ I don't know how legitimate the source is, but it's a good read

I just used scooby's calculator and entered that into MFP
-
4 5 and 6 are more for controlling hunger and preventing binge eating As for weight lifting, it's been proven lifting heavy weights several times a week burns more calories than cardio due to the body expending energy rebuilding the muscle Take my advice however you choose to

It must've been awful having incompetent parents
-
I have a 3.9 GPA and I'm looking at scholarships for BC, BU, UMASS Amherst, UNH, and UMaine I doubt I'll have to worry about those responsibilities, because I applied myself all throughout school, and I'll continue to do so
-
For a bunch of "people" who are so busy with work, family, and other responsibilities you sure have a lot of time to post on an Internet forum
-
Very nice assuming I screenshotted it and I'll be sure to use it as motivation the next time I'm hesitant to go as hard as I can while working out
-
It took me 15 minutes to figure it out. I guess I'm ignorant

Everything in life is a choice, whether it's conscious or not. Did I choose to be overweight? Yes. I had zero problem with being overweight, and I still had the qualities that I did then that I have now The only difference is that I got tired of having a belly
-
Being overweight doesn't necessarily imply complacency or being weak willed Nice try though
-
ITT: incompetence, complacency, excuses, and not much progress Can't say I'm surprised
-
"Hey, you should lose weight :)" "You're fat, stop making excuses and drop the weight" Which would you listen to? Don't lie.
-
You're really grasping at straws, aren't you? A 10 year old can earn $120 in a few months by mowing lawns, shoveling driveways, etc.
-
I bought a bench, 400 lbs of plates, a bar, and a half rack for $120 on Craigslist You're obviously not willing to lose weight if you refuse to seek out alternatives
-
Look back in history and tell me, how many of the greatest leaders ever were complacent, weak willed, etc.? I'll wait
-
My excuse is that I was lazy for the first 17 years of my life, and that needed to change She deserves nothing but the best, and I'll keep striving to reach that for her, and for me
