I am going to start a smoothie thread of my own JUST for members of the forum here!

I certainly understand that. And I'm not saying you will never again feel a moment of hunger, but what cravings mean to you and how they impact you will change. So even during PMS and TOM, you won't lose your mind with them. And that makes up for a small percentage of the month anyway, and so saying they will be there…

Had a good 3-mile HIIT yesterday, plus weights. A bit sore today, but oh well.
-
No, cravings will not follow you forever.

Hi. Welcome! Follow the one-plate rule. Get used to eating whatever will fit on a plate...and then don't think about it. That's a big thing there. Learn to eat and be done with it. In time, adjust meals to how you best feel, with plenty of emphasis on enjoying your meal. That will get you started. Lots of examples posted…

Excellent progress. And Pepsi Max is good!
-
Might as well go through the misery now. Once you put it behind you, you will have acquired the strength to move on. You will not be able to do it if you can't make peace with those cravings.
-
I lost weight eating just what you have here. Good call. Your mind - and therefore, your body - was satisfied!

Gum will usually release insulin and make you hungrier. I know some can do it, but I've never done it. I advise all to avoid it.
-
At the meal only. It can also lower blood-sugar drastically, so don't do it while fasting.

Hey, Britt. Welcome. A few tips: 1) No splurge days for you. They will just aggravate your progress. 2) Eat what you enjoy on a regular basis. 3) Be honest and true with yourself as much as possible... https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=kNEdwJ5FtyE

I had "everything" today. Two meals that were more like prolonged, leisurely snacks. Happy 4th!!!
-
Just keep in mind that anything super-low carb or keto is going to mean splurge days will have you holding water much more so. Jump off and you will gain faster. Higher carb does not have that disadvantage. Keep the one-plate rule to avoid overdoing it on portions. But don't worry if you sometimes do.

Welcome!

There's no stopping you. Nuff said!
-
Arugula also works great.

On an empty stomach, make and consume a parsley smoothie. Just water blended with parsley. Soothes the appetite and calms the nerves and mind.

Hi! Welcome!
-
My pleasure. :-)

Updated for July.
-
Brenda is just tearing it up out there!
-
Nice change! Way to go!
-
Sounds like you are off to a great start! Remember to get 30 minutes of sunlight each day. And ACV.
-
Funny; as a big guy, I would bring pizza, ice cream, chips, and popcorn and pig out in the recliner watching COPS until I was sick and sleepy! lol

Hi, Follow strict OMAD as I laid it out. You need to make it a priority to drop all that weight. Of course, those with more years on them have less time to do it. The good news is, you know yourself, right? Don't stress too much about calories, but instead, about making sure you eat one emotionally fulfilling meal each…

I second what Bob said. No extended fasts. Consistent losses mean you need consistency in your running deficit, and it shouldn't matter what anyone else does. I'm doing a video on these long fasts people keep taking. They don't really help weight loss.
-
Exactly. No one should get caught up on the false idea that healthy foods can't get you fat.
-
Hi, Christine! Welcome!

Uh, well, I'm speaking from experience, so yes, it's definitely true. I'm not theorizing here. If someone can't control themselves, then they won't have made it to maintenance. Or else they won't have lost much weight to learn to fully restructure their eating. Assuming someone stays cognizant of the need for the fasting…
-
In general, if you think of maintenance as two incredible "let go" days a week and then moderate OMAD the other days, that will be enough to make sure almost anyone will maintain. At least that's the "quick and dirty" version.
