I'm 69, not maintaining, but still losing. I do Zumba two hours a week, and take a full body conditioning class, circuit training, three hours a week.

Find an exercise you like. Try a bunch. I'd shoot myself if I had to run, but I love Zumba, and full body conditioning classes, and Pilates. Try them all. You'll find something that speaks to you.

Magesium, a pill every other day works for me.

Buy a very good balsamic vinegar, expensive, but then there is no need for any oil. Yum!

Oooh, I had that for a while. I thought it was a nerve or something. It finally went away, but it drove me nuts for a while.

Don't think of it as a diet. Think of it as a lifestyle change. Diets have a start and and end. A lifestyle change is forever. Good luck. You can do it.

I've been using Fitbit for a few months now, and really like it. It's pretty accurate, and it does help me keep moving to watch that flower grow, and my steps, and calories burned add up.

The best post ever!

Just do it. You don't really need motivation. Just DO IT.

Coffee with 2% milk, a Thomas bagel thin, toasted, spread with a tablespoon of peanut butter, and half of a sliced dill pickle.

Mission brand makes a good GF corn tortilla. La Tortilla Factory makes good GF wraps. Both my daughter and granddaughter have celiac, and like both tortillas.

I have one. I just got it last week. Still getting used to it, but so far I really like it.

I have an underactive thyroid, and didn't think I could lose weight either. I put off trying for a very long time. As it turns out I lost weight, and actually quite easily. Eat less, move more, the weight comes off even with an underactive thyroid.

So true, so true! You should not think of it as a diet. It is a life style change and an opportunity to be healthy. When you decide that is what you want above the unhealthy foods and habits you will do it.
-
You should not even think about how long this is going to take, because it should take a lifetime. It isn't a diet. It's a lifestyle change.
-
Try a really good balsamic vinegar. I know it's expensive, but you don't need to use very much, and need no olive oil at all!!!
-
Just another reason why I don't weigh myself.

YEP!

Nope
-
You can say no, you choose not to.
-
Don't waste time trying to figure out why. That's just a diversion. Get back to eating right. Just do it.
-
Yes, I so agree, it is that simple. Not easy, but it is simple. Those who make it complicated, I think, are just not yet ready to make a lifestyle change..
-
I never weigh in. I don't want it to be about the numbers.
-
Curves four days, Zumba two days.
-
Yes, I eat back most, if not all, of my exercise calories. It's the only way I can survive, and I steadily lose weight.
-
What return?
-
Yep, me too! I used to always be so warm.
