Maybe it's hard because you're impatient? I say this not to be mean but because I lost about 25 and regained it and it has been a slow process to getting back to the lost 25. I may hit my last pound to lose in the next few days but I'm really not sweating it. I do weigh every day but at the same place and at the same time.…

I liked the Crystal Light Orange and Lemonade a long time ago and also there's a Peach Tea one from Snapple I think. These days I just prefer seltzer water but those were my favorites when I did use flavor enhancements. The fizz for now is all I need. *Edited because I thought Snapple was Lipton; or maybe one is owned by…

It only happens for me under 1000 cals

This is the one I got last year: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Taylor-Model-7506-Glass-Electronic-Bath-Scale/14311191 It goes up to 400lbs and I needed that because I wasn't sure where I would be starting (355 btw). Sometimes you need to weigh yourself twice --as in let it reset and get back on--but it's helped a lot. My…

I've 'reduced' sugar intake by cutting out processed foods with lots of sugar including juices, cereals, flavored oatmeal etc. but no fruit? More power to you my friend. I cannot sacrifice nutritional value over a little sugar.

Congrats! How long did it take you to get 50 lbs off?
-
Looks sort of like passion fruit

Thanks. Going through the preview vids now :)

I just number them. Or you can call it Snack 1, 2, etc
-
Guavas! Mango in the summer time when you can get them ripe and juicy.

I considered it and joined the Low Carber Daily Forum--group on here--you should check it out. I'm just counting calories at this point and taking it easy on certain carbs.
-
Also would like an invite

Don't eat back exercise calories. I have 100+ to lose as well and mine was around 1800 but I lowered it because I want to eat back my exercise calories. Do some research and see where you need to be at to maintain your current weight. The logic is that you'll have to continuously lower your calories as you progressively…

I have Eat to Live and his cookbook. I tweak stuff and I've read his book twice. I'm not fully committed but I do like the nutritarian way in general and find ways to incorporate it into my lifestyle.

I tried sugar free nesquik hot chocolate with whipped cream and a few marshmallows at first but now I also just keep dark chocolate squares and Fudgsicles around and it's helped. Jello Chocolate pudding too!

PB and apple; lettuce and tomato (the yellow sunkist ones especially); I crave fresh herbs too (especially parsley). Let's see what else; sweet potato sometimes. Been craving cherries and grapes lately too.

I weight every day but I only log the lowest of the week. I also have a file to keep tabs on trends especially for when I get stuck.
-
Congrats!!! I'm really interested in knowing which group you joined. I'm around the same starting weight and would love to join!

Thanks for posting this. In a similar situation but at least 100+ lbs more than you and cut my calories down from 1800 to 1500 and still. I do measure but I'm getting a scale for accuracy.

In my home> goals, it's been taking a little while to update but in your food diary it should update instantly. Recently lowered my calories and that was my experience.

I'm weighing every morning but I need to stop since I haven't been able to break out of the same 5lb range for a few weeks and it's driving me insane.
-
I think I'm still too far away to participate in this but hopefully soon!
-
I don't know what that is but initially it was just easier to find YouTube videos with more sitting type exercises until I could build up with the walking a bit more.
-
I haven't gotten a scale yet but sometimes I use teaspoons and tablespoons and measuring cups to try to get in the general range of things.
-
Thanks for posting this. I'm also 300+ and pretty deep into a PhD program and grad school seems to leave little room for health but it's been my number one goal for the past year and I hope to continue with it as I move forward.

About your salad issue, can you eat other greens like spinach or water cress? How about cucumbers? Maybe you can work around this. I also boil sweet potatoes like once a week, dry'em on a paper towel and stick'em in tupperware for the week and just add it to whatever I'm eating or just as a snack. I also do this with…

Seltzer. It's the only way I can get it in me since I gave up soda lol
-
I don't log light fruits/veggies so lettuce/spinach etc.
-
I do 2 eggs with 4 slices of turkey bacon. I can't eat eggs plain so I add some combination of salsa/jalapenos/onions/parsley/celery/sweet peppers to make it work. You can even sprinkle some parmesan or other shredded cheese on it and still be under 350.

I don't think I buy anything sugar/fat free. I tried. But I just can't. I do buy low fat yogurt though but only like once a month and I've been thinking about switching to regular.
