I find Quest bars highly unpalatable. Although they probably aren't considered protein bars, I prefer to eat Larabars.

I would only consider adding something if it was a moderate exercise (fast paced walking) that is done AT LEAST ten minutes at a time.

I feel that a food scale is the most accurate way of keeping things in check. If you stick with the serving size on the package, then it's usually a decent size. I will add or subtract parts of a portion if I determine I need or can't afford more in my daily intake.

I wouldn't worry too much about natural sugars. Try to limit added sugar though.

I've taken to subbing kale chips for potato chips lately. I buy Brad's raw food brand from Kroger, but you can easily make your own too. Another thing to consider is buying baked chips or eating a cracker like triscuits (although they aren't low calorie)
