I'm currently living in Urbana, but have also lived in Quincy. Fun times :)

I don't think you are being unrealistic. You have to really stick to it though, which can be hard. My gf and I made it through about a week of P90X "lean" (without the plyometrics) because we thought that would be what we could handle without going overboard. I definitely saw results in the short amount of time we were…

Ooh, I've been trying to push myself to start 30DS again. I started once before but "life" got in the way. No excuses this time! Count me in for your Monday start. :)

It looks like a lot of responses you've gotten are food books, but if you want non-food books, this one was AMAZING: The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, by Rebecca Skloot http://www.amazon.com/Immortal-Life-Henrietta-Lacks/dp/1400052181/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1319386255&sr=8-1

You should check out the clearance electronics section of department stores - I was able to get a Polar F4 for $15 at Sears this past December, and I love it!

When you go to the food tab, you can click on "Recipes" at the top, and then on the right "Enter New Recipe" and enter all the ingredients as well as the number of servings. I've done this for my own homemade bread (and other) recipes and it works wonderfully - then you can directly add that item to your day instead of…

7.05 miles for me for 6/2!

5.95 miles for me today! Off to a good start. :)

It depends - are you asking about Wii workout games or just good games in general? I'd recommend the following: workout games - EA Sports Active (1 or 2), Wii Fit, Dance Dance Revolution general - any of the Lego series (for example Lego Star Wars, Lego Batman), Super Mario Brothers, Super Mario Galaxy (1 and 2), Raving…

This is a really interesting question that you are asking. Actually, I see a few: 1. How does society define success? (including the question about how bodies should appear) 2. How does the individual define success? 3. What is society's hierarchy of success? (e.g., where is body shape/form vs. academic successes in the…

Sounds like a good challenge to me! I'm in. :)

I got the same message from my doctor when I was 21 - my cholesterol was 241. I paid a lot of attention to what I ate, and the four rules I stuck to were: 1. No hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils (stuck most to this one) 2. No cocoa butter 3. No palm oil (palm fruit oil ok - if it's palm fruit oil it will say so)…

From what I have read our bodies can vary up to two pounds during the course of one day, so many people do not weigh in every day but rather once or twice a week. It could just be your body's variation over the day, and some believe it is important to weigh in at the same time every day. It seems like I go down some, then…

Thanks for all of your responses! I tried just putting in "Aerobics" but I felt cheated on the calorie count (lol). Circuit training seems like a good way to go. Thanks again!

I really like the EA active series. They have a 6 week challenge which is a good workout, and the things you do are very similar to 30 Day Shred.
