no answer - i'd just also like to know

I had the same thought. I think MFP is set up so that you don't have to exercise if you don't want to. If you want to eat at "maintenance" and then exercise, as long as you keep above NET 1200, it should work the same as setting a 0.5 or 1 or 2lb a week loss and then eating back your exercise calories.

Holy crap - you look amazing WTG

I had this happen last night after pushing myself on squats - it only lasted about 10 mins though. Sorry! No advice; just commiserating.

I don't have any advice but I just wanted to say how glad I am that she has someone with a healthy view of food in her life. It's too bad her mom doesn't share the same perspective.

Our culture seems to have embraced bigger bodies, and become totally phobic about eating disorders (as a whole). I got a similar comment from my mom - "don't get too skinny" (says the person who used to be 100lbs before she had me - mind you, she's only 5' tall but still). I still have a loooong way to go before I get "too…

I've got the same problem. I bought new jeans because I ripped a hole in my other pair. I was a size down (14->12) and now those are falling off me. They're ridiculous; they look like clown pants. That's the best motivator as far as I'm concerned :-) Way to go!

Incredible. I can't imagine how much bravery she must have needed to go to the gym that first time.
-
This is very inspiring - congrats, you look awesome!
-
Awesome! Congrats
-
Amazing! You have done a great job
-
See this makes sense...

I always question those posts... if you find it hard to eat 1200 calories, why are needing to lose weight anyway? If you ate like that all the time (provided it was healthy food) you'd be skinny as a rail! But I guess if they're exercising a TOOOOON - like 800 calories - it'd be a bit hard to eat that all back. I guess. I…

Thanks! For sure. I am soooo glad I took the pics
-
Thanks!! I hope the results keep up!
-
Nope! Just this for diet and the odd leisurely bike ride with my fam. I think a lot of the difference was water weight initially. I had a massive bloat going on there I think
-
thanks man! p90 is pretty awesome :-)
-
Nice! I'll keep that in mind!
-
Feel free to add me! You might be able to stay focused if you take the focus off of results - and just think about eating healthier and feeling better. If you focus on the results and the results aren't quite what you expect you may be discouraged. If you focus on just eating better and working out you can only disappoint…

Really eh?? Well maybe I'll try it a couple times before I knock it. Still not ready for p90x though yet :-)
-
p90x intimidates the hell out of me... but I want to try p90x eventually, but I'll probably skip the plyo stuff and do the "lean" schedule. just thinking about all that jumping around makes my knees hurt.
-
It's fun! I encourage you to :-) P90's a lower level, kinda. It's a "starter" level to the beachbody workouts I think
-
I'm sure you will! p90x is hardcore, i hear
-
AWW, thanks Brittany!! I hope you're having fun with zumba!
-
Take pictures and measurements!! It's hard to notice on yourself, but you can see the diff in comparison pics.
-
that's awesome - congrats!
-
Aww thanks! Yeah, it's def a work out. It's really the kick in the butt I needed. I haven't missed a day yet. It can be really repetitive but I like that - I'm totally a creature of habit.
-
It's a fitness program - Tony Horton. It's a step or two down from p90X... you can google it. It's expensive I think but I got the dvds from a friend. I love it!
-
Thanks! I'm not a dancer and I'm a huge fan of routine so this totally works for me. Do you do Zumba? I've heard it's so fun :-)
