^^now that flan looks good! Kind of more of a tart/pie? I'm imagining this kind of like a Portuguese custard tart..

I used to work there, it's quite accurate assuming they give you the correct portions. And they're pretty good about it. Just don't go asking for 'a little bit more' of everything and you'll do ok.

I made this the other night because this thread made me seriously crave steak! T-bone with cheddar bourbon sauce, garlic shrimps, roasted portobello and asparagus, baked potato:)

Creme Caramel is the French version of flan. I hate creme caramel but I LOVE creme brulee. Two totally different textures/cooking methods (sort of...) but similar ingredients. I think I just dislike the gelatin texture of flan. Creme brulee is smooth, and is so much more versatile.

Maybe you just need to try a new wine!

This too. If I don't know for sure that they're made in house I don't get them. There's always way to many and they're not very good.

Organic cottage cheese (Organic Meadow but I think they're all basically the same). It's not like regular cottage cheese but kind of dry and crumbly. I don't really get it, or what to do with it? Also it doesn't taste very good. Once in awhile I like the full fat regular cottage cheese, but I get tired of it quickly so now…

This thread doubles as an appetite suppressant if you are feeling hungry, most of these sound pretty bad to me! lol :# Shredded carrots and raisins on peanut butter sandwiches go surprisingly well together.

Are you dressing the salad and taking it to work to eat later? I imagine it would be soggy. I would always put the meat and dressing separately and don't mix them together until you are ready to eat it. I started just keeping a bottle of olive oil and a bottle of balsamic vinegar at work so I don't have to worry about…

I'm buying Silk Natural Almond Milk now which is slightly sweetened but not the vanilla kind. Unsweetened is even less calories, but doesn't taste as good to me.
-
I drink almond milk because I like it and it's easy to fit into my calorie goals. The only cows milk I really enjoy is homogenized, which is a lot more calories, and not really worth it if the only thing I'm using it for is protein shakes and coffee.

Possibly I could special order them from the fish market, or maybe even Whole Foods, but I'm not sure I'm willing to fork over the cash. I may look in to it though.. If it's less than lobster then I'm in.

It's the WORST. The gravy is weird and the whole thing is so salty. Although I'm really not a fan of McDonald's fries to begin with.

There's a bakery around these parts in little Portugal that's open 24 hours on the weekends, i used to go there on my way back from the bar and get a couple of those chicken croquettes for the journey home. Soooo good. Clearly before I started losing weight.

Oh my goodness you people are so lucky! Crayfish are next to impossible to get here in Toronto, even frozen :(
-
I have at least 3 jars of chili flakes because I can never find them and keep buying more! Lol I also recently discovered I have 3 open rolls of aluminum foil.. That's gonna last me awhile.

Canned green beans are absolutely vile! I still have nightmares over that taste.

They're great if they keep the produce fresh. I've been to some different ones, and mainly it depends on how the franchise is run. If I see wilted lettuce and slimy cucumbers, I'm out. But if everything looks freshly cut, you're good to go. Like most places it depends on what you get in your pita for how many calories it…

Genmaicha green tea is pretty delicious, I get it from David's Tea. But I only drink it once in awhile because I mainly drink coffee.

Inside the fridge, maybe once per month. ON TOP of the fridge, that's another story....

I visited San Francisco a few years ago and they had a Creme Brulee stand, that was pretty great :) http://www.thecremebruleecart.com/

Toronto as well, they just blew up a year or two ago. There are a lot of permits and etc. to get through, and they've loosened up the by-laws a bit. Still, they're mostly around during food festivals in the summer, or around the university campuses. I've tried to avoid them this year because of calorie counting, but I know…

They would rather have an unsatisfied guest every time than have food cost go up? That is not a smart way to run a restaurant..

Maybe 110... By the time you put the thermometer in it's already done
-
I think they all look like that lol small digital scales are all basically the same, aren't they?
-
If you wanted to track your meds you could probably just add them to the notes section. But if you're taking the same thing every day I'm not sure there's much point. There might be an app more suited to tracking medications and side effects.

Beef tongue is DELICIOUS. Tastes like really rich roast beef. I'll try pretty much anything once, but one thing I've never tried but really want to is Haggis. I hear it's really delicious if prepared well.
-
The Superfries are just crinkle cut fries. They're not bad as far as frozen fries I guess, but I'd rather just roast up some regular potatoes. Kraft Dinner I never actually had as a child, so in my early 20's I used to buy it for myself and make it in a bunch of different ways. I always bought the extra creamy or spiral…

I hate the fit test. I did it the first time I did Insanity I did them (although not to completion), but every time after that I skipped it and just did the workouts. I get that it's supposed to be a way to show your progress, but I dreaded them so much that it wasn't really motivational.

Agree, if you maintained your loss only + a few lbs more, I'd say you are doing well! If it's what you really want then now is the time to recommit. You did it before and you can do it now. Personally, I've found the best way to get me out of a depressed/burntout mindset is exercise. It is really hard to push yourself to…
