  • My baby is 18 months... am i still a new mom?
  • Oh no, I've been Woo-ing people all over the place thinking I was cheering them on!
  • I made pumpkin risotto last night with a small roasted pumpkin. Very yummy!!
  • I am 5'6 and looked and felt awesome at my lowest weight of around 130. However it was difficult for me to maintain that weight with my lifestyle as it required me to work out a ton and limit fun things like dessert and having a couple drinks. I maintained well at 135-140 and i was happy with that and aim to get back there…
  • I cannot live without pasta and bread. I was successful in losing about 40lbs without cutting out carbs.
  • This is soooo helpful, i have tried and failed at logging while breastfeeding so many times over the past year. I always tried to log but was always way too far under calories trying to create a deficit. Thank you!!!!
  • I don't think cardio would hinder your progress as long as you do something relatively low impact.
  • Oh no! I stopped buying quest bars several months ago as it was becoming too expensive... have they changed the recipe since then? Not as good?! nooooooo :s
  • Yup I would just log that as a small coffee with two creams.
  • Seriously amazing!!!
  • I try to buy organic where possible, however many times the quality is much poorer than the rest-- at least when it comes to produce at the grocery store. So if you're concerned about pesicides and etc, use your best judgement. I don't want to pay twice as much for wilted veggies just because they're labelled organic. But…
  • Boiled Lobster with garlic butter and lemon, side of fettucine alfredo with extra extra parmesan reggiano, caesar salad (dressing made with extra anchovies and extra bacon), a crusty on the outside/soft on the inside italian roll with more butter and a drizzle of olive oil. And for dessert, chocolate chip cookies. Edit to…
  • ^^ Marriage material right there. I love cheese so much. But I did have to cut way back compared to what I used to eat. There are certain cheeses that I try very hard not to buy, because they will make their way into pretty much everything I eat! Low-fat cheese is so not worth it IMO. Just doesn't taste right. I eat a…
  • It's the guys on the treadmill next to me! I'm really not that close, so if I can smell it when we're not even face to face... it's bad.
  • I gotta say bad breath-- mostly get it in the morning, please do everyone a favour and brush your teeth before you get to the gym!
  • ^^ This, or any self-defense course really might give you a boost of confidence and the know-how to get away from an attacker. Personally I have a lengthy background in Martial Arts, so I have zero fear of walking alone at night (running... good luck catching me!).
  • If you like them, you can make em fit. But personally I don't find either ever really fit my macros, and aren't filling enough for me vs. the calories. When I'm in maintenance though I'll give it another shot!
  • Yup, Sausage and Egg McMuffin for me or nothing! It's the only thing I really like at McDonalds. No egg whites for me, I need the yolk!!
  • ^^ This is what I did. I used to drink double doubles, and now I can hardly stomach them unless I'm really in the mood for a treat. I only get one milk now at Timmies, and it's not bad. Also-- get the dark roast for slightly better coffee. Really it's not good coffee at all, but there's one in the building where I work so…
  • I've been doing pilates twice a week for the past year. As others have said it doesn't burn many calories but it is good for toning. My class is particularly light so I really just do it as a supplement to my regular routine. If I only do pilates that day, I pretty much count it as a rest day.
  • Oooo, the pictures on the doughnut plant site... pistachio doughnut looks amazing!! :D
  • Wow, awesome committment.
  • What an amazing change!!!
  • I found this at first too, but enjoyed it more after awhile. I find it motivating to see the same people continuing to cheer you on, day after day, week after week. At first it seems impersonal because you don't really know these people and there's a disconnect there. But after awhile you get to know them and you look…
  • Not at all. In fact, highly caloric meals that are not processed is what made ME fat. My point above was that it's easy to judge, and I was wrong to do so.
  • I was over at a friend's one day a year or two ago, and I noticed that she gave her 2 year old a microwaved frozen dinner consisting of chicken fingers and fries. I didn't say anything to her, but later I was at my Mom's and I said something like "How can she give such a young child food that is so terrible for her?!" My…
  • Lol and the funny thing is that I live alone so I made that all for ME! :) The shrimp was so good, I cooked up a whole bag and used the rest the next day to make a nice little pasta.
  • Do what works for you. Since it seems you will have less control over portions at dinner time, I would suggest compensating by eating less at breakfast/lunch when you have full control over what you choose. It's really all about what's easiest to work within your calorie limit. For me personally, if I eat a bigger lunch I…
  • My favourite is Cantonese Chow mein. Lots of different proteins, veggies, and my favourite of course... noodles! It's probably not the healthiest thing on the menu depending on where you order from, but there's nothing deep fried or breaded in there at least. Portion control and you're good.
