My family and I do tons of fishing. The type of fishing we do does involve quite a bit of movement...... on top of it being 90+ degrees with 95%+ humidity! Got to love Louisiana weather. I have never looked at fishing as someway to burn calories/exercise.

I have stared back walking and we have a pool, but I want to add in some sort of exercises on the Bowflex. That is something that my husband and I will do togther. I have never done any sort of weight training. I just do not know where to start in that area.

At the start of my diet I was not doing any exercise and lost weight. I am new to the whole dieting thing & I am still learning but, MFP has from what I understand my calorie intake set low (1200) so I do not log my daily exercise (which is not a lot, I walk a mile everyday, takes me anywhere from 15 to 20 mins. & then do a couple of sets of crunches, lunges, etc. in the morning & afternoon)…

I agree with more protein. My two go to's are a 2 egg spinach & mushroom omelet for a meal & a banana with peanut butter for a snack. Also, I always try to keep some form of turkey or chicken & boiled eggs in the frig so I can always have protein on my salads.

Well, you could absolutely be right about that but, at some point isn't food whether it be overeating, under eating, or doing a healthy diet, or like what I am trying to do, a life style change, it is all mental/emotional at some point with everyone. No offense taken!!

Being that me and my husband are hunters and fisherman, I would have to say fried fish with homemade french fries, coleslaw, and hushpuppies and fried deer steak with rice/gravy, fried okra, and purple hull peas.

Thank you for the concern but, I promise I do not have a eating disorder or anything like that! I am just having a little trouble dealing with the fact that I always was able to eat what I wanted, when I wanted, never exercise but I was/am very active & never gained weight much even when I was a prego until I hit 37 & boy…

Thanks, I have been meaning to check my BMR. Since I have been eating such few calories for the last two months it will be a challenge for me to eat more now. I will feel like I am cheating :(

I thought that was weird also being I only weighed 140 when I started this & then when I put in the 10lbs I lost I thought it might recalculate but I did not. That is what it told me so that is what I have been going by. I have not been hungry at all really so I figured it knew more than me!

Have you tried roasting your veggies? Roasted cauliflower is my fav!! Smoothies are a great way to sneak in some veggies also. I drink a smoothie every morning for breakfast. I put either 2 handfuls of baby spinach (2 cups) or 1 small/med. zucchini, 1 med. banana, 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk, & then 1/2 cup of another fruit. I also do not use frozen fruits because to me they do not have as much flavor as fresh ( I know I am weird). Sometimes…
