OMG. I love them. No nauseous here! Maybe I am used to them.

If you can afford it, hire a good personal trainer for 30 minutes per week. They can help you get started with weight lifting and make sure your form is correct, weight is appropriate, etc. Then, you can do the rest of your weekly workouts without the trainer. In future sessions, the trainer can help with increasing weight…

Thanks. Bench press, Pullups, Deadlifts and Squats are already part of my weightlifting routines, so I will just keep on going with that.

I am in pretty much the same position. I am 5'4" and 135 lbs and 51 years old. I lost around 53 pounds over the last year. I still don't feel quite accomplished yet. However, my weight hasn't moved in more than a month, so I think I am done with weight loss. I am not really willing to lower my calories, as I average around…

Beautiful! Great job.

You CAN do it! I lost over 50 pounds using MFP as a motivator. It took a year, so it is not quick. Just log all of your food everyday. Try to get in some form of exercise 4-6 times per week. If you can afford it, hire a good trainer for 30 minutes a week, just to keep you motivated and teach you new exercise techniques. A…

What worked for me was going for 2-3 days very low carb - like trying to keep at about 25-35. Then, day of high carb - healthy carb like sweet potato, oatmeal, quinoa. Sort of a shock to the system. I didn't believe it would work but my trainer suggested it so I tried. I did it twice, worked both times.

When you do have time for meal prep, cook more than you need. That way you can live off of leftovers. I like grilling up a pound or more of chicken breast at one time. Eat some now, and some later in different forms - wraps, salads, soups, etc. Same with beef. I also make up a big slaw of cabbages (red and green)…

Hershey's kisses work best for me. One has only about 25 calories and helps with sugar cravings.

Hi Marilyn - you can do this! I am your same age and my kids are also mostly grown up now. I started my weight loss and workout routine on MFP one year ago and I have lost over 50 pounds. Previously, I had never lost any weight. You can do it too! I will send you friend request shortly.

Have your cake and eat it too!!!

Glad I looked in the forum. I thought I was losing my mind. How can they not have Chipotle Chips in there? I know they are bad for you, but somebody must have entered them sometime! I only had about 6-8, I swear!
-
Kris - I can just feel your excitement from your posts and answers to others. Congratulations. You look fantastic and you didn't look so bad before either! I am down around 50 lbs and went from 16/18 size to 10 - has been just short of one year. Still trying to drop a few more pounds, but if not, I am pretty happy where I…

I have been shopping at the same grocery store for more than 20 years. Today one of the checkout clerks noticed I lost weight!

Just take it one day at a time. It might take a few weeks to see initial results and then it might be slow or stuck at times. Just stick with it. Get a good trainer for at least 30 mins a week if you can afford it. Once you start seeing results you will want to continue. Friend me for motivation

I went from 192 to now 139 since I joined MFP in April. I would be happy to support you!

I echo others. Log everything. Boosting your protein is great too. Protein makes you feel full too! Send me a friend request, if you want. I have been on MFP for about 10 months and I have lost 50 pounds.

A can of tuna fish always does it for me. About 100 calorie. Lots of protein

Wonderful. I am at 50 lb weight loss now. Accomplished over just less than 12 months. It is weird because sometimes people you haven't seen in a while (not close friends or relatives) don't recognize you

Pasta. I just cannot eat a little bit of pasta so I tend to just avoid it. I can eat other carbs in moderation like bread and rice, but not pasta.

you are an inspiration! and special. congratulations.

Please include/invite me! 51 years old! I have lost 45 pounds so far but would like to go 10 more and it is getting really hard

That does not look like four ounces of tuna. Did you use the entire can? It doesn't look like enough. Can't tell without weighing, but that doesn't look like much more than one ounce. Same with the celery - doesn't look like one cup.

Go back and log. On occassion I haven't had internet available for a few days. I have gone back and logged after.

Hey there goalie. I am not in the same situation, but I do sympathize. My son is a hockey player too and I LOOOOVE hockey. We just went to the Winter Classic yesterday! I wish you the best of luck on meeting your goals. If you want an old broad for a friend, feel free to add me. I have been on MFP for about 9 months and…

Try to stick to high protein snacks to feel fuller.

Try high protein stuff. I like Quest Bars (some people don't). Also, some Kashi dry cereals have lots of protein. I pre-measure a serving at home in the morning and munch at it on my desk. Kellogg's makes some higher protein granola-like bars with chocolate for some sweetness. Sometimes I grill up extra chicken at dinner…

Why wouldn't you weigh? How will you know you lost 50 pounds if you don't weigh yourself? I weigh almost everyday but only long in MFP on the 10th, 20th and 30th of each month. Nothing scientific about that. Just random.
