Now that I am in maintenance I weigh myself everyday as a check.
-
Me, me, me! I lost about 65 and just starting into maintaining.
-
For me it is pretty simple: Looking good and feeling healthy. So nice to be able to wear "regular" clothing and have it look good from any angle. Might be vain, but keeps me going....

Stick to your MFP macros and workout plan. You will see progress!

Hi - friend me! I have lost 65 lbs over the last 18 months. Dinners are easy for me. Focus on lean protein and veggies, with just a bit of carb. Lean protein I like: Chicken breast, pork tenderloin, sirloin steak, 90/10 ground beef. I make veggies just about any way - roasted, steamed, microwaved (when I am in a hurry),…

My Fitness Plan was my savior. Just start honestly logging your food and exercise. Try to follow the macros and the weight will come off. It might be slow at first, but stick with it. Make friends with MFP members - you can friend request me and use the boards for advise. I was fortunate enough to be able to hire a…

Hello. Yep, we def do change when we get older.

Wow. That is great. So fun when you fit into a smaller size unexpectedly. Don't make the same mistake as me though. I bought a lot of clothes when I moved from 16/18 to 12/14. However, within a few months, those were too big! After 15-18 months of hard work, I made it all the way down to around an 8 which is my maintenance…

HI - I was able to accomplish my 60+ lb weight loss using 1,200 as a target. I did eat back most of my exercise calories though. I lost at an average of 1 lb per week over about 15 months. Of course it was faster at first, slow at the end. Been maintaining since this summer. I still have a goal calorie level at 1,200 but…

I find it helps with the soreness to do at least a light workout, as HamsterMan says above. Your usual cardio would be fine. Just an additional point - mix up your cardio workouts. I rotate between running, elliptical, biking and rowing. Works different parts and provides some variety.

I love cats, but don't have any right now. I am 52 and lost over 60 pounds in the last year and a half. Happy for new friends!

I all. I am 52 and lost 60 pounds over the last 1.5 years. Happy to be friends with any and all of you! It is hard, but you all can do it! I know you can.

I am 52 and lost 60 lbs over about 15 months (April 2014 to this summer). Slow and steady. I tracked EVERY BITE of food for 15 months. I also exercised 4-6 times per week - mix of cardio and weights. Started slow and low weights, then upped as I went along. I can now run 5k - best time 35 mins. I squat 95 lbs - not very…

I live in the DC area, so we are hot here too. Maybe not 100 though. Here are some ideas that might work. Try to fit in your exercise early in the morning or late at night when it isn't so hot. If you have a basement, you can exercise there where it is cooler. If the ceiling is high enough, a jump rope works great. Body…

I am with the hard boiled egg gang. I usually have some fruit too - normally strawberries or pineapple. I am not hungry first thing in the morning, so whatever I eat I take to work with me. Hard boiled eggs are high protein, low cal, and portable. For a change of pace, I have Kashi cereal. It does have a lot of carbs, but…

I have lost 63 pounds using this app. First 50 came off pretty quickly in about 9 months. The next 10 pounds took about another 9 months - LOL. I love this app and it was my source of inspiration. I am a numbers gal, so this was a perfect match for me. Friend me and ask me any questions you want.
-
Looking good!
-
yep. Unfortunately dreaming doesn't make it so. You have the right message in your picture box. One pound at a time. I lost 58 pounds but it has taken almost 14 months - about a pound a week. Slow and sure wins the race. I am pretty much at maint now having lost about a pound in the last 30 days. Not complaining though.…

Good for you for quitting smoking! I am 51 years old and lost over 50 pounds with the motivation provided by MFP. Feel free to add me too. Just get started. As the weight comes off, you will be even more motivated.
-
I friend requested you just now. I have lost about 56 pounds over a year - April 2014-April 2015. Although I wouldn't mind dropping a few more, I am pretty much in maintain mode now. Still working out 4-5 days a week - mix of cardio and weight lifting. Would be happy to help keep you motivated.

I have lost 56 pound over a year. I have a bit of skin bagginess in the stomach area. Not too bad unless I lean over. Can't see it in clothes. during my weight loss I did cardio and weight lifting including some ab work, but nothing crazy in that area.

For me, it took about 30lbs before anyone really noticed. As a frame of reference. Started at 192. I am now at 135, total is about 57 lbs and I am in maint now. It took one year. So I guess that people noticed about 1/2 way through. I think it depends on how much you lose vs where you started. Also, I agree, some people…

Hi Cynthia. I am Rhonda and you are welcome to friend request me. i started MFP last April and lost 56 pounds. Started at 192 and I am now at 135 and I think I am done. I have been this same weight for a couple of months - still logging food and mostly staying within macros and still working out around five times a week.…

Hi there - I am in a similar age group - turning 52 in a couple of months. I am not quite in menopause yet, but irregular when previously I was so regular, you could set a calendar using my body. Over the last year I have lost over 50 pounds through a combination of better diet and exercise - slow but steady progress.…

Good luck. I will add you!
-
I agree with above. Experiment and see what works for you.
-
Great progress! Keep on track.

I used to be a carb girl in the morning. Nothing better than a bagel or a donut or cereal! Now I try to have couple of hard boiled eggs, some cheese, or even some leftover chicken breast. I also like a Quest bar on occassion when I am in a hurry in the morning. Low on carbs and high on protein. If I want cereal, I eat…

Wendy's has some salads that are good - I like the pecan, apple, chicken. The grilled chicken wrap (sweet chili) at McDonalds is good, but stay away from the fries! Chick Fil A has a good Asian salad - not too bad in calories and other macros. Most of the healthy choices at fast food are going to be salads. I think you can…

I am 51 years old and have lost over 50 pounds in a year on MFP. Would love to be friends with any of you that need encouragement. I have two kids, but they are almost grown up now - 18 and 20 years old! At this point, I think I am done with weight loss and moving into maint mode.
