  • Yeah baby, I'm 22 then!! The whole cleaning the plate is a bad habit. I remember my mom once saying in my defense, to my dad regarding the remaining food on my plate "it can go in the garbage or go on her hips." Good luck to you!
  • Feel free to add me. I'm from the US started at 145 now at 137. It's been slow but relatively painless;) I have found MFP has made me more aware & accountable. Good luck!
  • Welcome. I do not blog. I recommend logging calories immediately after you eat them. Alot of people do it before so they only eat what they log. Being accountable just means you want your friends to comment or encourage you if they see you're eating unhealthy foods, too much, not logging everyday, etc. Someone viewing your…
  • I agree it is so easy to make. When I don't make it I use the cans of premade at the local global foods market. It is with the lebanese food. The can is around $1 & not a bunch of additives in it. Also, it is great in a can because I can keep a bunch in the pantry.
  • Yes, it's hard to have a conversation without notification someone commented on your comment.
  • I've been on for about 80 days. I've only lost 7lbs but that's ok because my habits have changed a lot & I feel good. I workout 5or6 days a week and I'm very conscious of the portions & calories I eat. Be patient & think of it as changing habits. The weight will slowly but permanently change.
  • Oh, girl, I've been there!! I agree u should do the Jillian Michaels dvd's. I've never really liked doing DVD workouts but this is perfect for u because it's only 20 minutes (at least 30 day shred is). I have 3 kids & it has been a life saver (or waist saver). I can always find 20 minutes.
  • On bread with lots of pepper. Sometimes with tomatoes salt & pepper on bread. Think odor it as a cheese sandwich!
  • Great question!! I have this problem too. I've bought like 4 or 5 different kinds-no luck!! Sometimes when I am out running, I lose them or find them later on the side of the track. Those accordion looking ones that someone was nice enough to post a picture of do work-at least 20 years ago they did. I forgot about that…
  • I feel exactly the same way. I keep wondering if somehow this could be off. I do about 1200 as well & try to fit a workout in 5 days a week, but not long & hard ones. I haven't really lost anything in a month. I am wondering if those off days like holidays where I am up to like 1500 cal is sabotaging everything. I see…
  • bump. I need one too & was thinking of ebay.
  • Bump, thinking of getting one too!
  • Welcome! You will love it here. I've been here for around 60 days. This will change yr habits if you log. Feel free to add me-I'm midwesterner too!
  • Yes, I understand exactly & that's why I'm here. I was getting desperate to get 15lbs off & just "trying" to be good wasn't going anywhere. I thought I was being good but not as good as I realized once I started logging. I am very, very, slowly losing, but that's ok because I feel my habits changing without too much…
  • Good luck to you. Feel free to add me as a friend. I think you will like it here!
  • Good luck to you. I am here to lose 15. If only I could hand it off to you, I would. The great thing about this site is, by logging everything, you will realize the calories & adjust your eating to what gives you the results you want.
  • Oops, got a little drool on my phone... Thanks for sharing.
  • Have you given it enough time? I was working really hard & not losing for awhile but I could see the difference & I felt good. Don't give up just keep pushing through.
  • U will love it! It's amazing how it gets easier everyday yet still so hard. Good luck!
  • Just make everyday a chance to lock in those good habits. Not eating is like running away from a problem. I did well my 1st few weeks too but have plateaued. I have to say my habits after 2 months of MVP are soooo much better & becoming second nature.
  • Feel free to ad me. You'll love this site! Just log, log, log honestly & you'll do great!!
  • Agree. It's about habits. Conquer that & you win!
  • Just bought a premixed bottle of light margarita. It has all kinds of ingredients so I'm sure it's not healthy but I am craving margs like crazy so I'll try it. Vodka, selzer water & a fruit wedge (especially grapefruit) is what I usually drink.
  • 5-10, without food? I don't think it is worth it. Too much alcohol on an empty stomach & not a healthy habit. How about 3-7 & a little something in the tum tum?
  • You better pack some baby carrots & other low cal filling things. I use to be in meetings all the time with catered food & it was tough!! I'm good when it's not in my face, but like you smelling & seeing it makes it tough. Good luck & just be in the habit of never ever taking part in office goodies because it is a hard…

  • Dark chocolate- 2 squares w/ a few pretzels. Love the sweet & salty & the crunch.
  • It does absolutely get easier!! It was so hard the 1st 2 days. I'm on level 2 now as of yesterday & I could barely do it w/out a few cheats. I know though, after a few days I'll adjust & be able to do it. Don't give up, just do your best. If it's hard for you then you know your going to get results!!
  • I like mixed veggies flavored with Indian spices. You can buy jars of different kinds in a paste type form at an international food store or a large grocery store. I use my own spice mixtures depending on what I"m in the mood for but I have a large collection of spices. I either use the frozen bag of mixed broccoli,…
