Unfortunately I work at a sit down desk all day long, but I am happy! This is a step up for me and I love it. What I have been doing is walking during my breaks and take my lunch with me. I also work out around 8 because it is so hot. Today, I went bike riding and wakled the dog. Felt good to ride my bike again.

I like Tai Chi. It is so good for my body, and I have adjusted some of the movements due to my fused ankle. I tell anyone if you are new to exercising then Tai Chi is it. I like it because you feel less stressed after you have done the complete movements for about 1/2 an hour to an hour. I will tell you I have felt my…

 Boy can I relate to this big time. I have been trying soooooo hard and I am still stuck at 161 for the past 6 months. My waist does not shrink, so for the past few weeks I have not be journaling or trying so hard. I like to feel good, and the exercising helped me feel good about me. My oldest daughter is a…

Boy, you helped me! For awhile there I was having a hard time trying to keep going. No weight loss, Just staying the same, and having trouble just trying to eat all the fruits and vegies I need to on a daily basis.

I don't get it either. So if someone explains this then great!

I am planning to put in a spare room or sunroom, and would also like to find one also.

 I try to stay within a certain cal range, but lately, I have been busy I was not able to post on the journal. Luckily, I did not gain, but lost a pound. I exercise to lose the weight, so being able to see all the cal verses the exercise cal I just can't see eating more.

Man, can I realate! I am a turtle in the weight loss. I started a year ago at 167 and now I am down to 162. Slooooowww but sure. Whatever! I would like to see a little more loss some days, and getting to the 150s is my goal right now. I am working on that now!

Today, my daughter did not have any cloths for our workout at Curves, but that is ok. I was tired from work. Today, I climb the stairs up to the 2nd floor, and even though it was hot outside, and the air was ugly from all the fires around here (California), I still walked all over for a total of 1 hour, and I did 25 reps…

 Don't ask why, but on the weekends I can't keep my diet the same as during the weekday. For some reason I eat a ton of fruit and vegies, but on the weekdays, I have such a hard time. I think it is because it is my husband's turn to cook, and let me tell you he is horrible. He goes out and gets the dinner, and yet we…

As for myself, I don't have a problem either way. I love food. I usually stay in the 1200 cal. except when I go out for dinner like last night. I had the best scallopes, and Sake! Love Sake and wasabe! I guess I am not much help here, but I do love to grill now that we have a gas grill. What I love is to grill chicken,…

Oh my God can I realate to this. My husband is constantly sabotaging my diet and exercising routine. He does not understand why I go to Curves, use DVDs, or bought the Wii. I have fibro, cronic fatique, arthritis, and a fused or frozen ankle. We went out last night and he asked me what can I do and I told him not much, and…

I agree with what the person before me stated - you cannot control what others say or make their choices for them. What you can control is what choice you make now. Your choice is now before you is how to make you feel and look healthy. Do not allow others to take that control from you. You are in control of your life.…

Thank you so much. I want to add I played the Wii tennis for over 2 hours today. I am trying to find the WiiFit here in town, but no such luck. So we are going to order it online instead. Much better that way - saves gas. I like to use the Wii because of my fused or frozen ankle.

Today, my daughter and I played tennis. This is great for those of us who have a health problem, such as mine: an ankle fusion or frozen ankle. I had surgery 2 years ago and I can't run or walk for long periods of time with out my brace. So now I get to play my favorite sport that I played all through high school, Army,…

Well, my goal is to at least lose 1 to 2 pounds this week. Mon - I went to Curves for .5 hours. Tues - same Wed - same Thurs - walked for one hour Fri - walked for an hour and climbed the stairs up to the 3rd floor My eating habits were around 1400 cal. until last night. We went out for dinner. I blew that all to heck out…

Yesterday, I did 1 hour of walking, and I climbed the stairs up to the 3rd floor. Today, I plan to play tennis for several hours on the Wii. What I have learned is I have to put on my brace on my left leg, and wear my tennis shoes. That is the only way to keep my ankle from being in pain and also my back. Everyone have a…

My daughter and I just enjoy playing tennis! Today, after work I am going to buy another remote so 2 of us can play. When I get paid in a few weeks I plan on buying the Yoga part. I think this has been one of my best purchases. I do work up a sweat whenever I play tennis. I agree with what some said - I use it to help me…

Are you still doing the challenge if so what is the challenge? I climbed the stairs today to the 3rd floor. At least our heat here in Calif was not brutal as it has been!

I am now doing Yoga, or let me state what I can with a fused ankle. My left side I have learned how to do Yoga differently due to the fusion, and my right side I can do anything. I plan on getting the Wii Yoga on my next pay period to help me with my workout.

Put me in, I go to Curves 3-4 times a week. But, this week has been awful due to the horrid heat, smoke, humidity, and you can see the air here in California. The good part is I bought a Wii and was able to play for several hours the tennis. Tomorrow I am going to buy a Yoga (I hope) so I can start or maybe the WiiFit. I…

Your addition sounds like what my sigs were to me years ago. When I quit the sigs I just went cold turkey. I think that is the only way. I love water, the only way I drink it is lukewarm. My teeth can't take it cold so I have to have it room temp.

Well, did you talk to your dr about what you are allowed to do? Have you gone to a physical therapist yet to help teach you what you can do and how to start working your muscles? The reason I am asking is because I had to undergo surgery to have my ankle fused. Let me tell you this has been a huge shock for me. I used to…

I have had fibro for over 10 years now. I don't know what foods trigger it, but I do know the lights at work, or bright lights, and loud noises trigger it for me. I love to do Tai Chi. It is easy on the body, and there are alot of great DVD's or CD's or whatever out there you can get to do at home, or go to a class if you…

I was just looking this very thing up. I have the Wii Sports, and I looked into the WiiFit because I want to do the Yoga, and exercising. That looks interesting. I currently play the tennis, but my kids play all the other sports: boxing, bowling, tennis and there is another one, but I can't think of it.

About a month ago I bought 2 bikes, one for each of my daughters. Then I waited till we received our tax return, I bought a bike for myself. I ride it during the weekends for about 1/2 an hour or more. Now our weather is starting to heat up, so I can only do it in the am and not the pm. I bought all the bikes in a local…

Hi everyone, I am new, but I would like to join. My current weight is 161 My BMI is 41% I have been climbing the stairs at work everyday (except for today joints hurt). I have now made it to the 3rd floor, and my goal is to make it to the 4th floor tomorrow. I like this website for my food intake and exercises.

My youngest daughter is a "vegian". I have not eat meat in I do not know how long even though I grew up on a dairy. I love to mix tofu into some of my recipes to give them more protein. I also eat ground turkey, chicken, and fish. If you have a great store near you that supplies "soy" products like I do - Whole Foods, Save…

I like to do yoga and Tai Chi. I have to sort of adjust how I do the workout because of my fused ankle. There are certain types of stretches I am unable to do, but I adjust. I love to do Tai Chi. I learned to do Tai Chi from CDs. Well worth the $$$$ let me tell you

My ankle was fused 2 yrs ago, and that was when I gained the weight during my recovery. Is there anyone else who has health problems? How have you been able to over come it? Do you go to a gym?
