Weekends KILL my progress. Especially these last few. So we have a quiet weekend planned and my goal is to weigh what I weigh today (friday) or less when monday comes.

It is just time for me to get real and make better choices on the weekends!

I am with you. I have no idea why I can't seem to stick with it during the weekend. I think that is what is throwing off my progress. I haven't lost any weight since May and I think I am stuck in a rut!

Hi I am new and also have not lost any more wait since June, I am in::happy: the weekends are really hard for me to, I do not have a computer at home so I tend to loose track of counting my calories!

Me too! I HATE weekends! They destroy all the hard work I've put in for the week! And I'm a little scared because we're having a family/family-friend BBQ tomorrow night and I have NO idea what we're eating! But I figure that I can just do some meat without bread (should be fine) and then some veggies if they have them. If it's just pasta salads and potato salads, then what? I guess I could just take a small bit. I am taking an hour long spinning class tomorrow morning and will just try and have a light breakfast and lunch! But we should TOTALLY have this challenge EVERY weekend! Good idea wakwifey!!! Let's all check in on Monday then!!!!!

I'm in! See you Monday (hopefully with a good report!). My goal is to avoid the alcohol that tends to be a summer staple on the w/e . . .

I'm in too a little late I guess. This should be a good weekend for me since fiance is out on buisness this weekend (that means no late night drink or spontaneous food requests). I am planning a weekend of fun with the kids maybe the beach and the park so hopefully will get in some exercise too!

walk slim dvd (3 miles) this morning

went to a wedding this afternoon... and i did ok...
    -water instead of punch
    -fresh fruit (without chocolate sauce)
-raw veggies with a small amount of dip
-one quarter of a chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat
    -2 cubes of cheese

then i had cake! i just can't resist a piece of cake at a wedding. it was small... but soooo good!

Okay...checking in! I had that BBQ last night which I think I did okay at! Ate a small amount of everything (probably about 1/4 cup of each): pasta salad, broccoli salad, green bean salad. Then I had a cheese burger with no bun and fresh fruit. I did have a slice of the pie my mom brought (apples and cherries and a crumble topping...yumm!) So worth it! But I feel pretty good with the 1 hour spin class I took that morning and the 2 mile walk I went on with the dogs! Today I'm gonna go on another walk and just watch what I eat and drink lots of water! All in all...so far so good. I'll see what the scale says tomorrow morning!

Good luck to you all and finish out the weekend well!!!:drinker:

Kistinbee... that's great! It's hard to maintain control at a yummy bbq, but I think you made some really wise food choices!

Today, I have brunch plans with some friends, but luckily it is at a place that has really healthy options. So I am planning to have an egg white veggie omelette and a bowl of fruit. I'm planning to my BL Power Sculpt dvd and take a walk later.

Hopefully the scale is nice to me tomorrow morning!

Congrats to those of you who have committed to the w/e and done well.

Mine has been a mixed bag ~ Friday was great with a super intense workout (for me) on the treadmill and Jillian Michael's Level 2 Shred (was sucking air on that one). Needed to do that b/c we were going out for dinner and I knew in advance that I wanted a Cosmo.

Saturday started out okay but i had cocktails at a party (despite my resolve not to . . .) and did not exercise like I'd intended. Some light yard work and housework but no real calorie burners on either end.

I was so angry about Saturday (esp b/c I'd signed up to do this w/e challenge). Old me: would have given up and blown Sunday, too. MFP me: got back on track today. Mango smoothie for breakfast; yummy southwestern salad (from chelsey's posts last week) for lunch; chicken salad for dinner tonight; 100 cal popcorn snack; deli chicken with grape tomatoes for snack #2.

Going for a 5 mile walk but I'm not counting it today. Gonna do the 1200 minimum to balance out yesterday's debacle. No alcohol today. No alcohol this week. I always want salt when I drink. Believe me, I'm no lush but I do like an occasional glass of wine. Problem is that I always eat more when I drink. So . . . the Monday goal for me is now a weeklong goal to go to the following Mon (July 21) with no alcohol.
  • Don't ask why, but on the weekends I can't keep my diet the same as during the weekday. For some reason I eat a ton of fruit and vegies, but on the weekdays, I have such a hard time. I think it is because it is my husband's turn to cook, and let me tell you he is horrible. He goes out and gets the dinner, and yet we have a gas grill. I have ground turkery, ground chicken, chicken. a George Forman, a grill to put on our stove, yet he waits tell the last minute becuase he is on the computer or watching tv. I never buy all week. I would have to use my check. Can't afford it, and I feel a health dinner is more important. Besides it is hot, smoky, and humid here in Calif. Heck this state is just burning up, so why heat up the kitchen. I love my grill. That was the best $100 I ever spent.
