Being pre diabetic basically tells you that your body is prone to have problems with sugar if not controlled.. I have had it drilled into my head...once a diabetic always a diabetic...but we have the power to control it and it not control or destroy us. 3 years ago I was on 170 units of insulin. weight loss, diet and…

Having type 2 diabetes is very common especially as one gets older ,if it runs in your family, overweight, or any stress can bring it on. The good thing is it can be controlled by diet and exercise. Good to see your doctor on top of things.... i imagine there would be diabetes education and dietitian in your area that he…

if you are counting fluid intake.. yes you would. When in hospital and they are watching what fluids you take in, they count... water, milk, juice, pop, coffee, tea, soup, ice cream, apple sauce, jello, yogurt.

lol i had to go back to the article to see what book you were referring to lol... no not at all. The last few months have been a struggle, one might find that hard to believe after losing so much weight but circumstances brought me to a place where I now know I have alot more work to do on my old negative core beliefs.…

i always thought ...a stall is a month or more of no weight loss and a plateau is a few days/weeks.... doesn't really matter which...one has to keep on trucking in your weight loss journey....(BEING HONEST IN ALL YOU DO) eventually the body starts to lose the pounds again.

The weight loss program I was involved with jump-started weight loss by 2 weeks of liquids (600-800 cal making sure at least 60-80 grams protein a day) then transfer to a limited choice of 3 shakes and one meal (1200 cal making sure at least 60-80 grams protein a day) until you are taught healthy eating of regular food by…

I've never heard of a lemon detox. I have heard of people using limes or lemons to help get rid of fluid they may be carrying. lemons especially limes are a natural diuretics.

Sorry to say this....but unless they realize they need to lose weight and are ready to do so, they will hide behind any excuse going. I hid behind quite a few excuses. Having a thyroid condition doesn't prevent you from losing... doing nothing with a thyroid condition which is under control will not make you lose. I take…

I always say don't get bunged up in numbers ans equations... eat healthy balanced meals within your cals for you get out n move.. n LEARN from it. in time you will know how many cals you need to eat to lose.. every body is different and some foods react differently for many n one needs to watch ones self n how they react…

I always have breakfast...never skip it. Everyone is different n has their own reasons for it but mine is mainly for medical = for health... and health is wealth. I am type 2 diabetic, having breakfast and regular balanced meals etc helps maintain my body's even blood sugar levels. I use to be on over 600 pounds and on 170…

Where you have alot to lose, it really boils down how much or how fast you want it off.... basically how much you intake n burn off will give you what results you want......... if you feel your weight loss is too slow... only you can control that. what we put in our mouths and the amount of exercise we put our body through…

when i was put on 1200 cal and under by my surgeon (as low as 600-800) I was to have at least 60-80 grams of protein in a day to preserve lean muscle mass. AND my body didnt go into starvation mode!!! listen to your body... listen to your doctor....it was recommended that if 1200 or under in cals be under the supervision…

to me what you are describing is a plateau/stall.... anyone in weight loss experiences then several times in the journey. The most important thing to do is keep honest with what you are eating with portions etc... keep exercising, watch your measurements (for it's sometimes during these times we lose inches). It's hard to…

3 years ago, with type 2 diabetes and on 2 needles a day of 170 units of insulin I started by using a 1500 cal diabetic diet. I was 600 pounds. In 17 months I dropped 170 pounds. I then dropped my cals to 1200... fine tuned what I ate...low sugar, low sodium, low carb (60-100), kept my protein at a min of 60-80 grams a…

n BTW during weight loss always expect lulls, stalls and plateaus... and yes, even wee gains (a few pounds). it is all a part of your body adapting getting use to and pushing forward. Take this time to learn about your body. One must keep honest and stick to the program to allow your weight loss to continue during these…

I'd say binging isn't the result of weighing each day but more on what is going on inside you and your relationship with food. Some CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) might help...it has for me and I weigh each day.
