Try having some alternatives for your sweet tooth. Such as 100calorie thinsation products or crispie minis with chocolate drizzle (only 90 calories) that way you can get your fix and not go too far with the calories!

That was depressing.. NOBODY has the same body shape/size/weight as me apparently...

The Lie: I don't want to go out with my friends, because I don't like the club scene. The Truth: I'm too fat to be out amongst those people.

Knowledge is power! You can try and teach your mother about the reason why healthy food is better for you and your family over lots of grease and fats! Show her studies that links these kinds of foods to high blood pressure, heart disease and a lower mortality rate. You love your mom and her cooking, challenge her to try…

I teach ballet to preschoolers, yesterday I was doing the class in my workout gear and one of the girls looked at me and said "Why do you have muscles?" That felt pretty good!

I work at a community gym, and I totally agree with people needing more gym etiquette. My top list of pet peeves, that I have to clean up after is: 1) Put your dumbbells away! Seriously.. its so unsafe and people will have a hard time finding what they want if they are all over the floor.. and I do have a bit of a hard…

When starting out, you should always work on endurance. You want to find a weight that you can do roughly 12-20 reps at which point you hit whats called "momentary muscular fatigue (MMF)" meaning you cannnot do another one no matter how much you want to. At which point you rest for 30 seconds, and do another set, again…

For 11 days, I worked my *kitten* off, not eating a single calorie back, eating healthy, and about 1400 calories a day, sometimes a bit less. I was 218 lbs for the entire time, and did not lose a pound. Not a decimal. This week I started eating back my calories so my net would be roughly 1200 calories (The minimum average…

I worked at Addition-elle (A plus sized clothing store for women.) We carried 12 to 24 sizes. So I guess that's the range.

There is for sure doing too much, your body can break down and basiclly stop giving you what your looking for. Be sure to get rest and don't forget to eat plenty of calories on the days you do work out.. From experience.. Ive worked out super hard, intaking little calories.. and didn't lose a single pound in a week.. I…

The BMI was created by a 19th century Belguim mathematician trying to tie 19th century body statistics to 19th century sociology... Sooo .... Yeah I wouldnt worry too much about it.

I got certified through BCRPA, but we used the ACE textbook. The easiest (and what gave the most points) was the very basic program creation part. You get a very average person and have to make a work out plan for them. A lot of the other stuff I found was very nit pickey, and asked a lot of "All these answers are right..…

Ive done bouldering, it is such a great workout! The amount of upper body strength you need is just silly! I totally recommend it.. I love going to a climbing gym, since bouldering consists of no lines or tethers, you just fall back onto a huge fluffy mat!

Find lower calorie sweets. I love Thinsations and Crispie Minies! They give me my sweet tooth without breaking my calorie bank!

I'm right there with you. I actually have my anime music videos playing on my computer (which is right beside the tv i do the 30ds on) and if I focus on that it makes the time go sooooo much faster! I just have Jillians voice loud enough so I know when to switch exercises.

For the most part of my life, reguardless of how overweight I was (This isnt new, I have never been "regular weight" all the way back to grade 4 I was picked on for it) Ive always had somewhat great legs. They have been tiny compared to the rest of me. But my stomach! Jeepers you would think it was the bottom layer of an…

Which part of the workout are you finding it the hardest on your knees? I started doing this workout and I way 230, and have not felt any problems with my knees. There could be a possibility that your form is a little off, so when you do a lunge or squat, your knees are going behind your toe. If the pain is a sharp pain…

When I went to school to be a personal trainer, the basic idea we were given to offer a healthy lifestyle, is that you need everything (of course in moderation) Think of all the foods you eat in this sentence You should eat more Carbs than Fats, more Fats than proteins. About 60-65% Carbs, 25 - 30% Fats and 15 - 20%…

Sometimes ya gotta do things that you dont like to get what you really want in the end. I suggest a personal trainer, somebody who can give you that push to do it, and give you the best results in the most efficient way possible.

Im 217 right now and have done it for 5 days straight, I have already noticed my endurance level has risen, I wasnt able to do the entire workout to start but I can already do the whole thing without stopping (cept for the last ab work.. that is harsh!) I usually have the Nestle Carnation - Breakfast Anytime! Put it with milk and it gets you a lot of what you need in the morning. Its a drink you can get in chocolate, vanilla and I think strawberry, add 1% milk to it, its 255 calories in the morning!

Ditto, since I work at the rec center, I do an extra amount of cardio. i worry if i do a lot of strength training i wont be able to handle the 30 day shred!

1200 Calories is the average amount of energy your body needs just to be able to do its functions from day to day. So it is highly recommended you keep at least that many calories in your stores. I need to lose 90lbs myself, and sticking to that 1200, ive already lost 10 lbs in about a week. You shouldn't have a problem…
