  • I absolutely LOVE olive oil as well. Whenever I make pasta I usually use 2 tbsp. of olive oil and minced garlic instead of tomato sauce. I also cook my veggies in the stuff. I try to limit my intake to 3 tbsp a day at max though because of the high fat content....it is a very good fat though so don't feel horrible about it.

  • Haha...you sound like me. I've been eating light all day to make sure I can have a couple BUD LIGHT's tonight after work
  • Where can you find Bio-Oil...I have stretch marks on my inner and outter thighs. Nothing too severe, I would just love to fade em' a little
  • Someone posted a great tip this morning. Go to dietfacts.com. They have lists of tons of restaurants and you could go online tonight, look up the nutritional info., and plan what you will order so you know exactly how much you are taking in!

  • I've heard Fergie takes a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar everyday to help with her tummy but who knows if it really works
  • Don't let how you feel today ruin all of the hard work you've done for the past 2 weeks (8 lbs!!!!). If I were you I would go for a run or do some sort of vigorous exercise so that you can let out that frustration. Remember....exercise raises endorphines and endorphines make you happy
  • The way I think of it is that MFP gave you a perfect amount of cals to eat a day based on how much activity you do (without exercising, i.e. your daily routine) and the defecit needed to lose your goal amount of weight. If you go under these cals your defecit will be too great and your body will go into starvation mode…
  • Thanks!
  • So I'm at work and a solicitor came in with Otis Spunkmeyer fresh baked Oatmeal Raisin cookies (you can probably feel my disappoinment :grumble: ) So I decided "what the heck I'll let this be my 'splurge' and just have one". Of course I ended up having 2 at 180 cals a pop! But that is why I LOVE this site already... even…
  • I am very new at this site (one week tomorrow). I did not realize there was a "complete today's entry" button on the home page. What does this do exactly? Does it give you summary reports? Is there any reason to be pressing that button everyday LOL.
  • I've heard that you should give yourself 3 hours between the last time you eat ANYTHING until you go to sleep. That gives your body the time it needs to metabolize the food. Once you go to sleep your metabolism goes WAY down and that late meal doesn't get broken down like it would have earlier.
  • The one thing that always gives me the most energy is EXERCISE!!! The hardest part is standing up, and putting my workout clothes on. Once I do that though, there's no stopping me. Then, afterwards, I usually have enough energy to continue my day without feeling tired.
  • Have you ever heard of the book "He's Just Not That Into You"? If you haven't you HAVE GOT to read it. I was in a "relationship" (if you want to call it that) for two years with a guy who was great when he wanted me and awful when he didn't. In the beginning everything was perfect....which made it hard for me to see his…
  • I have heard that sometimes the feeling of hunger is actually your body telling you that it is thirsty. I always try to have a cup of water with me and if I start to feel hunger pains after I recently ate, I slowly drink my water. Another thing I try to do is have a low calorie snack like a banana and yogurt or whole grain…
  • I'll join!! I'm already doing the 4th of July challenge and my goal for that is 140 pounds. Beginning weight: 158 Current weight: 155 Labor Day goal: 133 Overall Goal: 133 Total lbs to labor day: 22 Lbs per week: Around 1.4 I really really want this...here I go!!!
  • Congratulations!!! That's awesome...I can't wait to get home and do my exercise for the day
  • I really really like The Firm DVD's. You have to purchase the step that comes with it because it has three components that are unique to The Firm but if you have free weights then you'll be all set. It combines strength training with aerobics so you burn calories faster. I have been doing it for about 5 years on and off…
  • I'd love to join!!! Original weight: 157 Current weight: 155 4th of July Goal:140 Final Goal: 130 I just started MFP a week ago and am very excited about it!!!! Now that I have a specific challenge it will help me push myself even more
  • Thanks everyone!
  • I want to lose around 20 pounds...is it quicker to lose weight by running or strenght training. I've always been a fan of the Firm which are DVD's that provide an hour of strength training and aerobics but I know that I have heard that running is the best exercise. Any advice?
  • I also absolutely LOVE Amy's frozen meals. They are all either vegetarian or vegan, organic, and are really yummy. I am a vegan and what is great about these is that you can look at the back of the box and if you look at the ingredients you can see whether or not it is vegan and that ALL of the products used are organic…
  • I LOVE morning star's buffalo wings. They are spicy and give you the taste you crave with only 200 cals for 5!!!
  • I have been a vegan for about 6 months.
  • About 6 months ago I decided to go Vegan...which means I no longer eat any: Meat Dairy (only soy milk, cheese, etc.) Eggs or anything made with these products. I also don't drink soda AT ALL...not even diet because of the chemicals. And I have always avoided white bread like the plauge.
  • A roll usually conisists of 8 pieces of sushi. The small one inch piece is only an eighth of the entire roll. So in reality each one inch piece is only around 47.5 cals. Unless the 380 cals is in reference to one piece of sushi you should be fine! :)
