Thanks for all the terrific ideas! Love the wide range of gadgets and gear out there. I've been re-reading this and taking copious notes!

That pond and surrounding area looks so serene, lovely run. I would definitely get lost on the 2nd trail you posted. I used to love running with a little ipod shuffle, but now I use my iPhone for music, interval timer app etc. I'm always impressed with people who run listening to podcasts or audio books. Part of me thinks…

OOPS, my bad, I mean congrats on the 57-MILE bike ride!
-
Oh you look great! You really kicked butt on that 57k ride, congrats!
-
YAAAAY!! That is so amazing. You crushed that Half! So happy for you. Now you can go into the race with full confidence - well done! And with the milestone run behind you, you can bask in the glory of your accomplishment for the rest of the weekend!
-
Yay! That is a great loss! So happy for you. I hear you're celebrating with a Half Marathon? Awesome!!

I'm in. Onward and downward.

Mmmmm, chicken korma... some nice recipe ideas for sure.
-
Oh that sounds like a good one - for the healthy/yummy recipe ideas, not for the VLCD tips! Hope BBCAmerica brings it on over my way. Wouldn't it be great if there were a show that followed one or more heavy people for the long haul to watch them lose weight sensibly? They could edit it and just check in with them every…

Is that the name of a TV show? Must be a UK think? But tell more - I am intrigued!

Please let us know as you continue to work through it. I hope there's a simple tweak or 2 that gets you losing again very soon!

^^ so sweet! I love your whole family

Hi friend  I just ran a 10-mile race this weekend and it gave me a lot of confidence for my (first) Half next month. I did run one 12-mile run with my friend because she isn't training as much and wanted the confidence to know she could do 12. But as many have said, here and offline, most people don't go more than…

Your story is so inspirational. And I love how you express your approach. Thank you for sharing the journey with us and letting us know what's possible. You look great!

Congrats! Definitely worth celebrating such an awesome milestone - farewell 300's! Can totally see the difference in your photos. You've lost ~ 10% of your body weight. That is huge!! What's the next goal?
-
I like your philosophy! Well done. You look stunning!
-
It's funny, but every time I read a post like this, I have to go recalculate my numbers. I'll get the hang of this - someday!
-
So close to the 200's - you look great! Keep us posted, it's very inspiring!

Love the confidence in your first photo, despite your "Before" size. You look amazing! It looks like you are much closer to goal than halfway! You've completely lost your belly and just shrunken right down. This is an amazing achievement! How tall are you? Are you following a particular plan or cal level? Look forward to…

So glad I'm not the only spreadsheet addict! I am still playing with this. Training for a half marathon, so am typically very active half the week and much less active the other days. Initially I had MFP set to Sedentary, figuring I'd just eat back the Fitbit exercise adjustment to stay above net BMR. But that created a…

Fantastic! You are looking good!

I say go for it, too! I'm training for my first Half next month and have been following a long training plan that has only 3 runs per week, but the training is extended to like 20 weeks (I think). Runners World is a great resource. They have a ton of training plans or even allow you to customize your own. It sounds like…

I hear ya! A while back I subsisted on juice (mainly veg that I juiced myself), soup (homemade) and a healthyish dinner of usually fish + veg. Sounds good vitamin-wise, but calorie wise was probably 1000 per day. I was always tired and hungry and felt extremely deprived ("I can't eat ANYthing...poor me"). The sad thing is…

Looking good! Love how happy you look in the later photos. And you have great, clear skin!
-
Wow, that is impressive! I love that you are sharing the "during" photos. How many sizes have you dropped so far? You look great!

I have this same issue - I just don't get enough protein. I'm a carb gal through and through. I have been making an effort though to get more lean protein in. I love cottage cheese. Would love an recommendations on fave brands out there. I'd probably like a vanilla or choc flavor. Do you just add water and ice to yours? Or…

Totally agree. I've been working on my fitness for ages and have only recently hit upon TDEE & BMR and it just makes so much sense. When I reviewed my historic food logs, I discovered I was eating way below my net BMR and nothing was happening. Finally feel I'm on the right track.
-
Thanks again, Heybales! I'll keep it as is for a week and then tweak down as needed. I don't want to change it daily (as I have been recently!) I'll let you know how I make out in the Group's message board.

I think I finally get it! I have been searching "tdee" all around MFP. I was gratified to read another poster write on this thread that after monitoring her Fitbit data for a few months, it was within 50 cal range of what was calculated on the spreadsheet tool. But this idea about upping the activity level if you're…
